2 Project Information Title: Project Number: Green Ethics Training for Career Development DE/13/LLP-LdV/TOI/ Year: 2013 Project Type: Status: Marketing Text: Summary: Transfer of Innovation completed DE-Germany The project contributes to the promotion of the ethical aspects of environmental training programs to become a sustainable part of greening business and employability. The main aim of the project is to implement the innovative VET system for workplace basic skills with ecological sustainability awareness regarding the shift of EU labour market towards smart and green jobs. The global impact of serious environmental problems is increasingly conscious for companies and employees. But despite all regulations and economic incentives, the main issue is a lack of coherent ideology surrounding organisational and corporate responses. Particularly environmental ethics could bring a significant contribution, to create the necessary awareness about the increasing responsibility in the globally growing influence of companies. The project s main focus is on enhancing quality and performance of VET systems, improving information and guidance systems for green competence development and strengthening the European companies dimension in environmental ethics. The project aims to implement through transfer of innovation the innovative VET training system for workplace basic skills with ecological sustainability awareness regarding the shift of EU labour market towards smart and green jobs. The participating countries are Germany, Bulgaria, Italy, Slovakia and Turkey. Description: Idea and results of the project: The project has been finished after a duration of two years at The well organized consortium was established for an effective project management system for the successful implementation of the GET Green project. Each partner organization was responsible for the overall project strategy, the overall co-ordination of project developments, the utilization of resources allocated to the project, the achievement of the set objectives, and the dissemination and exploitation of project results and outputs particularly in their own countries. The project partners have met three times in the first year of the project: in Germany (Lüneburg), Italy (Padua) and Bulgaria (Sofia); and in the second project year two further meetings are held in Turkey (Ankara) and Slovakia (Bratislava). In close cooperation (also with companies within different economic sectors) and often in parallel working-units the project aimed to realise the following specific objectives: A multilingual and interactive project website has been developed. A detailed need analysis for the countries involved in the project has started the project work. The results of the former ENV-Ethics Project were transferred to the GET Green Project. A "blended learning"-program with a moduilar structure, according to different learn paths (EQF) was developed and online implemented. A lerner-centered approach for the design of the program was developed, which includes the activities of VET-experts. The structural GET-Green-model was focused on the specific needs of VET-experts. The selection of target groups concerned professions with "green competencies", 2

3 Project Information esp. in the forest economy, the life sciences, the enviromental economy and public health. Various materials for the dissemination of the project were created (leaflets, poster and newsletters) and the project has been presented at numerous meetings, workshops etc. A commercial valorisation of the project by the publication of a study book in all partner languages was prepared to foster the sustainability of the project. Measures for ex-post accreditation and application of the innovative structured model with a strong national as well European value were developed. An interactive homepage with multilingual operational capacity was established. New didactical tools for the education were introduced (b-learning). New educational support services were created to provide novel training opportunities for VET professionals. A book ("Ethics of green innovations") with included training material - according to the learn -modules on the homepage - and a technical e-book were developed. 3
