3 INTRODUCTION This document serves as a supporting document for users of the ecpd Financial Services website. Within this document there are steps to explain how to use the CPD Manager on the website. WHAT IS YOUR CPD MANAGER The CPD Manager is built to enable you to automatically file your electronic certificates achieved on ecpd and enable you to upload electronic certificates earned at other CPD events. You can download your complete CPD record from your CPD Manager for submission to FPI or another governing body. Your CPD Manager is completely private and cannot be viewed by other users. Page 3 HOW TO USE YOUR CPD MANAGER Please follow these steps to effectively use your CPD Manager. ACCESS YOUR CPD MANAGER AT ANY TIME STEP 1 Once you have logged in with your unique username and password you will view the front page.

4 STEP 2 To access the CPD Manager you need to go the CPD Manager block in the top right-hand corner. Inside the block you need to click on View Complete Report which is located at the bottom of the block: Page 4 STEP 3 Now that you have clicked on the View Complete Report you will see the following screen (if you have completed courses and claimed their certificates in the past): In this screen you will see your points earned in the last 3 years. The word Current will be under in the column of the current year that you are in.

5 VIEW YOUR CERTIFICATES ACHIEVED ON ecpd When you have successfully completed a course within ecpd, your certificate will automatically be filed within your CPD Manager. To view your certificates obtained within a specific year, you need to click on the relevant year: Page 5 STEP 1 Once you have clicked on the relevant year, you will view a page that lists the activities/courses you have completed, the CPD units earned and your issued certificates:

6 STEP 2 To view the certificate for a specific activity/course you need to click on View Certificate. Please note on this example there are entries you can edit/delete. These are certificates that were manually uploaded on the system from other events. We will show you how to do this later in this document. For now, let us view a certificate claimed from an ecpd course within this system. Click on View Certificate from one of your ecpd courses: Page 6 STEP 3 Once you have clicked on View Certificate it will take you within the specific course again to a page to REVIEW YOUR CERTIFICATE for the course. Click on the button:

7 STEP 4 Once you click on GET YOUR CERTIFICATE a new window will pop-up displaying your PDF certificate for download and print. Close the window when you are finished. Page 7 STEP 5 When you have closed the certificate you will be returned to this page. Return to the CPD Manager by clicking on the VIEW COMPLETE REPORT within the CPD Manager block on the left-hand side:

8 UPLOAD YOUR CPD CERTIFICATES EARNED AT OTHER EVENTS You can easily add CPD certificates earned at other events (conferences, face-toface workshops, etc.) ensuring that you keep an updated CPD record for convenient submission in the future. We call it an Offline CPD Record. STEP 1 To add the offline CPD record, enter into your CPD Manager. Click on View Complete Report within the CPD Manager block on the home page or any other page on the website on the left-hand side: Page 8 STEP 3 Within your CPD Manager you need to click on Add Offline CPD record :

9 STEP 4 Once you have clicked on the Add Offline CPD record link you will view a form with the following fields: Description: This is the name of the course. Provider name: Who hosted the event. Date activity completed: The date the conference/workshop/course ended. Total CPD points: This is the total amount of points earned at the event. CPD Domain: Select if it was Structured or Unstructured. CPD Level: Select the CPD level. CPD sub-level: Select the CPD sub-level. Accreditation: Fill in the accreditation number of the provider. 10 STEP 5 Add your electronic certificate (this may be your original hard copy certificate that you scanned in) within the Add certificate field. Click on the Add button to upload the certificate from your private documents. Page 10 STEP 6 The following screen will pop-up ; this screen is called the File picker. To upload your certificate, click on Upload a file :

11 STEP 7 Once you have selected Upload a file then click on the Choose File button. This will give you the opportunity to search your computer for the saved certificate to upload: Page 11 STEP 8 Once you have selected the file for upload you can click on the Upload this file button:

12 STEP 9 Once the file is successfully uploaded it will display in the add certificate field.
