Faith in God based on fulfilled prophecy Isaiah 41:23, 46:9-10, John 13:19 Dates of the Prophets o The prophets lived during the time from the divided kingdom of Israel, through the Assyrian and Babylonian captivities, and through the return of the exiles from Babylon to rebuild Jerusalem. 6 Zephaniah 1:14-17 The great day of the Lord is near a day of wrath trouble distress devastation desolation darkness gloominess clouds thick darkness, A day of trumpet and alarm Because they have sinned against the Lord; Their blood shall be poured out like dust, And their flesh like refuse. Haggai Date 520 BC After the exiles returned from Babylon they let their personal affairs take priority over rebuilding the temple. Haggai stirs them to finish the temple.
