For Iain and I, it was a step back in time to the wildly romantic land of our Victorian forefathers; the beautiful Isle of Arran, where we began creating bath and body products, imbued with the crystalline air and mineral rich water around us - fragrant in their luxury, simple in their seduction. To celebrate some of our most popular collections throughout our 25 year history, we have created a limited edition release of favourites from past and present. I am extremely proud of the company we have built, which has far exceeded our initial expectations. From our shore to yours, I would sincerely like to thank you for giving us the opportunity to share our collections with you over the years and hope that you will continue lifting the lid and to experience the pleasure of our products. That s why we make sure that all our products are made with ingredients of the highest quality, prepared to the highest standards and produced with a very low impact on our natural environment. We care for our world, that s why all our bottles are recyclable and our cartons are sourced from sustainable, managed forests. Animal Friendly We believe that animals should never be used to test cosmetics and toiletries we don t do it ourselves, and we make sure that the same goes for any companies we work with. We don t use any animal ingredients either, except bee products taken from the honeycomb (honey and beeswax), so all our products are suitable for use by vegetarians. Giving something back We re proud to be a charitable partner of Maggie s Cancer Caring Centres. Maggie s offer people with cancer a warm, friendly space where they can find the emotional, social and practical support they need. We re delighted to have created a range of relaxing Maggie s products, where fifty percent of each sale is donated to Maggie s Cancer Caring Centres. Page 1

3 Inspired by nature, made in Scotland A sprig of heather, a breath of sea and rain, a pinch of seasoned wood and just a taste of honey. These and other locally sourced elements are the things we use to conjure vibrant, evocative, luxurious scents that are uniquely Scottish, uniquely Arran. The Isle of Arran is our heart and our inspiration. To the south we have lowland rolling hills laced with tranquil beaches and breath-taking views. To the north, the dramatic highlands are rugged, the heather more windswept, but every bit as beautiful. The rich colour palette of this unique blend of landscapes and the diversity of its herbs and flowers fuel our creativity and passion for beautiful things, beautifully made. Water from our island spring finds its way into everything we make. And so, as the sun, wind and rain touch the land, subtle changes in the local climate mean that every Arran Aromatics product is slightly different, giving each its own distinct character. These natural gifts help us to create products that are as individual as you, and as precious as our timeless island heritage. For twenty-five years, we ve been creating mesmerising, sensuous fragrances for products that inspire thoughts and evoke moods. For all that time we ve been based on Arran and although we ve grown significantly since we began as a small, family soap business, we ve held true to our island heritage. Page 2

4 Fragrance first Our love of a beautifully blended aroma inspired both our name, Arran Aromatics, and the lifelong pursuit of exquisite fragrances with the power to seduce and captivate the imagination. That s why crafting the aroma is at the heart of each and every thing that we create. From soap to candles, to body moisturisers and bath oils, they all start with the subtle art of perfumery. A truly inspirational scent should tantalise with rich layers of top, heart and base notes working in harmony to take your senses to another place. It all starts with an idea. Like our desire to capture the crisp, clean essence of dawn breaking brightly on a windswept beach, the bracing rush of breaking waves, and the heady surprise of something precious found among the pebbles. From this inspiration, our signature Driftwood fragrance was born. Designing and giving life to a fragrance is a slow and contemplative process. It s a delicate artistry of blending aromatic compounds and aroma oils along with other essential oils to make the perfect bouquet. Within each of our carefully crafted fragrances there s a world of dreams, moods and memories, just waiting to be experienced. These techniques and the vintage equipment we still use have been preserved and passed down through generations of our people. This powerful sense of tradition and an unbroken line of artisans stretching both back and forward through the years, helps inspire us to create exquisite products like Apothecary, one of our original ranges which we still make today. Our first products were entirely made by hand and that hand-finished tradition is still at the core of Arran Aromatics today. Each and every one of the things we make is prepared for you with tender loving care and a personal attention to every detail, just as it always has been and always will be.
