3 1.SCOPE This specification covers the requirement of the ø3.5 Audio Jack Connector series. 2. 4 6 Withdraw force 7 Durability Measure the peak force during plug withdrawal. Measurement shall be made after disconnecting using Mate plug 3 times Solder connector to PCB. Insertion and withdraw plug cycles at a speed of 10~20 cycles per minutes. 4~20N(0.4~2kgf) Contacact : 80 milliohms Max. Install connector into holder, insert plug into connector and apply a load of 50N.cm on plug in +/- X, +/-Y direction for 5 times each direction * (see appendix 1) 5.3 ENVIRONMENTAL PERFORMANCE : 80 milliohms Max. Insertion Force:4~20N Withdraw force: 3~20N No damage to connector ITEM DESCRIPTION TEST CONDITION REQUIREMENT 9 Shock (Thermal) 10 Static Humidity 50 cycle at Ta=-55 C for 0.5 hours, then change of temp=25 C Maximum 5min,then Tb=+85 C for 0.5 hours, then cool to ambient Recovery: 2hours at ambient atmosphere Expose to a temperature of 50 ± 2 C with a relative humidity of 90-95% for 96 hours. Twice through lead free IR soldering Profile* (see appendix 2) 6.0 PACKAGING Parts shall be packaged to protect against damage during handling, transit and storage. 7.0 ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENT Hazards elements and compounds contained in the parts meet ROHS requirement.
