2 EPILEPSY FOUNDATION NORTHEASTERN NEW YORK One $2, Two The Nick Birchak Strength of Character College Scholarship will be awarded in the amount of $2, The Lyle Reuben Fieser Memorial Scholarship and the Epilepsy Foundation of Northeastern NY Scholarship will be awarded in the amount of each. Scholarships are awarded to students who are currently being treated for epilepsy and have plans to further their education Students only need to submit one application to be considered for all three awards Applications and more details are in Naviance and in the May 9, 2014 ULSTER CHORAL SOCIETY LEE PRITCHARD SCHOLARSHIP 2014 Applicant is a graduating high school senior with a minimum one year of high school choral experience Applicant has been accepted at an accredited college and is pursuing a career in vocal music, performance or education Excellence in NYSSMA scores Overall academic average of 80 or better Community performances outside of school May 9, 2014 JOHN DAVID ANDERSON MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP AWARD 2014 Student must be a senior who has confirmed their commitment to attend an accredited college to pursue a career in either vocal music or the field of music education Student must have been a member in at least one High School All-County event (chorus or instrumental) Student must remain a member in good standing in the NPHS school music program through graduation or else they forfeit the scholarship Student must complete the scholarship application by the deadline, including student signature, parent signature and current music teacher signature Scholarship will be awarded upon successful completion of one semester in an accredited program May 14, 2014 Page 2

Criteria for each award are completion of the application form and short statement (150 words or less) why you could use this award. May 14, 2014 MID-HUDSON VALLEY COUNCIL OF THE NATIONAL PAN HELLENIC COUNCIL, INC. SCHOLARSHIP 2014 $500 Candidate must be a graduating high school senior Must be attending a high school in the Mid Hudson Valley area; which consists of Dutchess, Orange, Putnam, Ulster and Sullivan counties Must be seeking higher education at an accredited two-year or four-year United States college or university Must have a B- or better GPA May 15, 2014 ULSTER COUNTY VOLUNTEER FIREMEN S ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP Applicants are graduating seniors who wish to further their educations in the field of Firematics Must be an active member of a bona fide fire company or children of parents who are active members of a bona fide fire company The curriculum of the Scholarship recipient must be approved by the Ulster County Firemen s Association Scholarship Fund Selection Committee Evidence of a desire to pursue such a program and to continue training for a two or four year degree Applications and more details are in Naviance and in the May 15, 2014 AMY BINDELGLASS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP 2014 First Place $ Second Place Applicant must be a high school junior or senior Design a creative campaign to inform your community about organ donation and encourage people to enroll as registered organ and tissue donors. Applicant must be from a high school participating in Mid-Hudson Conference P.W.L.S. program Candidate is a graduating high school senior who has participated in Mid-Hudson Pop Warner Football and/or Cheerleading for two years or more Must have been enrolled in an accredited college or university Candidate must be of good character and meet the standards of the college or university of his or her choice (GPA 84.0 minimum May 16, 2014 JOYCE MINARD SCHOLARSHIP 2014 (REGIONAL CHAMBER OF COMMERCE FOUNDATION AT NEW PALTZ) Applicant must be a direct relative of a member in good standing of the New Paltz Regional Chamber of Commerce Must be a legal resident of the counties of Dutchess, Greene, Orange or Ulster and must be matriculated as a full-time student OR working and matriculated as a part-time student at an accredited college or university located in the Mid-Hudson Valley (counties of Dutchess, Greene, Orange or Ulster).
