Provided outreach programming and workshops on a variety of developmental, preventative, and/or psychological topics, as well as consultative services to UCF faculty, staff, campus organizations and parents. Served as liaison between the UCF Counseling Center and community mental health agencies, mental health hospitals, and private practitioners. Chair of the UCF Counseling Center Referral Committee; assisted in the development of a web-based referral service for UCF students, faculty, staff and the general public. With assistance from the Student Development and Enrollment Services (SDES) Department, developed a Community Provider Database (CPD); an online referral source for UCF students, faculty, families and the community at-large. Winter Park Health Foundation (WPHF) Program Director, Children & Youth Partnered with diverse leaders and organizations throughout Orange County to help prioritize and strategically set goals for youth-directed activities in the Winter Park community including Winter Park, Maitland and Eatonville. Responsible for developing, implementing, managing and overseeing all aspects of specific youth-focused initiatives defined and approved by Board of Trustees. Provided direct oversight of the Coordinated School Health/Coordinated Youth Initiative (CYI); a model comprised of services including Mental Health Counseling, Nursing, Nurse Practitioner services and Healthy School Teams (HST s) located at 12 schools within the Winter Park Consortium Schools. These schools included 8 elementary schools, 2 middle schools, 1 ninth grade center and 1 high school with full funding provided by the Winter Park Health Foundation. Also included oversight of two School-Based Health Centers (SBHCs) located in the Winter Park Consortium Schools. Regularly worked with school administrators, nurse practitioners, instructional staff and parents to effectively deliver all youth-directed/school-based services in order to maintain best practices within the school setting. Fiscal responsibility of $1.5 million annual budget including budget preparation, analysis and oversight of programs and organizations funded by the Winter Park Health Foundation. Convened lay and professional groups and organized multi-organization initiatives to work successfully with WPHF constituents and members of the philanthropic community. Conducted annual needs assessments, identification of best practices, literature review and analysis of information for strategic planning purposes. Strived for continuous quality improvement through annual program evaluations related to children and youth initiatives. 2

3 Winter Park Health Foundation (WPHF) Founder - CHILL: Community Help & Intervention in Life s Lessons Proposed and attained $1.2 million to create and develop CHILL: Community Help & Intervention in Life s Lessons school-based counseling program. Hired and supervised team of diverse clinicians to provide intervention services for youth and their families by way of prevention, intervention and case management services for 12 Winter Park Consortium Schools including 8 elementary schools, 2 middle schools, 1 ninth grade center and 1 high school. Communicated frequently with WPHF Board of Trustees on updates regarding mental and physical health promotion for children and their families. Regularly worked with school administrators, instructional staff and faculty to administer CHILL Program counseling services. Managed and maintained annual fiscal budget of $1.2 million to support CHILL Program. Secured approval and ongoing funding commitment from Board of Trustees every three years. Center for Drug-Free Living New Horizons Counselor Established and led individual, group and family counseling sessions to address various issues including, but not limited to, anger management (bullying), substance abuse, COSA (Children of Substance Abusers), divorce, grief and loss, anxiety, depression and family dysfunction at middle and high schools throughout Orange County. Conducted classroom presentations on issues related to drugs and alcohol, peer pressure, stress management, bullying/cyber bullying and self-esteem issues. Maintained referral base including contact with and up-to-date information on other agencies serving the psychosocial needs of children, youth and their families.
