PRASA TECHNICAL Bringing New Commuter Rail Technology to South Africa NB: External applicants (Non-PRASA employees) may submit comprehensive CV and certified copies of qualifications and Identity document to one of the address indicated below JOB TITLE: Manager : Office of the CEO SALARY GROUP: Management LOCATION: PRASA Technical DEPARTMENT: Office of the CEO POST NUMBER: REFERENCE: CEO/MAN - 004/01/15 Mission: To facilitate the necessary focus in provision of strategic, advisory and management support to the CEO and PRASA Technical Executive Team. To liaise with all levels of staff including Executive Management, maintain a trusting and professional relationship with all internal and external Stakeholders on behalf of the CEO. OUTPUTS: Manage and coordinate internal / external strategic relationships Monitor of ECO, Board, Board committee and Management Committee submissions; Monitor implementation of resolutions from ECO, Board, Board committees and Management Committee meetings Co-ordinate information concerning progress and programs of various management committees and other relevant internal stakeholders Dissemination of information pertaining to activities, programs, resolutions, policy directives etc. Preparation and co-ordination of submissions for quarterly/periodic reporting with the responsible portfolio committees, clusters etc. Co-ordinate information, participation and implementation of matters raised in external programmes; Co-ordinate external stakeholder communication

2 Render administrative and management support functions to the Executive Set up and maintain systems in the Office of the Executive that will contribute towards improving efficiency in the office; Ensure, oversee and advise on the effective flow of information and documents to and from the Office; Respond on behalf of the Executive to enquiries received from internal and external stakeholders; Draft responses with regard to more complex issues for internal and external stakeholders; Prioritize issues in the Office of the Executive; Follow-up on reports to be submitted by the Office of the Executive. Ensure that Departmental impacts have been explored and all risks (internal and external programmes) have been identified and mitigation strategies developed; Manage the Departmental risk register and coordinate Audit processes on behalf of the Executive Ensure that identified risks and mitigating factors are implemented; Ensure that the Department complies with audits done by both Internal Audit and the Auditor General; Ensure that audit responses are aligned and comply with defined processes and procedures. Research, analyse information and compile complex documents for the Executive and lead the Executive s special projects: Research and compile comprehensive documents/presentations for the Executive; Scrutinize complex submissions/reports and make abbreviated notes and/or recommendations for the Executive with regard to these documents; Co-ordinate and compile reports of a transverse nature for the Executive and advise/sensitize the Chief Executive Officer on reports to be submitted (e.g. ECO; board and board sub-committees, portfolio committees);
