With an ptinal firmware upgrade the FlexIFEM Nise furthermre features a reliable peak cylinder pressure mnitring functin fr use n R&D r endurance test beds, r fr in-vehicle calibratin. The FlexIFEM Nise device is perated in a stand-alne mde prviding real-time prcessed results values n the integrated CAN bus interface r t the analg utputs. 3 FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION The built-in analg-digital cnverter cnverts the analg signal at the integrated charge amplifier utlet int a digital data flw. A digital lw pass filters high-frequency interferences frm the signal whereby the signal-nise rati is imprved and anti-aliasing effects f the secndary sampling rate cnverter are avided. The cnverter prvides the data rate required fr the several evaluatin algrithms. The data are stred by a memry cntrller int a Randm-access memry s that they can be accessed by the prcessr in any required rder. APPLICATION RANGE The flexibility and rbustness f the FlexIFEM Nise allw its usage thrugh the entire engine develpment prcess. This stand-alne device can thus be used as a simple charge amplifier n test bed r in vehicle, as a peak pressure mnitring device fr endurance, develpment r calibratin purpse, and as a unique nise meter delivering an accurate and repeatable value n all test systems.
