The Spirit of the Tour: Riding West on the Route 66 to the Promised Land, getting to know the big cities of the West Coast (Los Angeles and San Francisco) and the spectacular inland territories like Yosemite National Park and Death Valley. Day 1 Departure from Europe and arrival in Las Vegas, NV. Limousine pick up at McCarran Airport driving the guests to the New York Hotel, where the group will be accomodated. After hotel check-in, rest of the afternoon free for sightseeing on the Strip, the main Las Vegas boulevard where all the fancy hotels are located. Maps and directions ae provided by the tour guide/s. Group dinner at the Harley-Davidson Café on the Strip. First briefing about the trip and description of the day after's programme by tour guide/s. Day 2 Las Vegas, NV Kingman, AZ 110miles After a relaxed morning dedicated to sightseeing or resting by the swimming pool, group cheks-out from hotel, gets lunch and then visits Las Vegas HD dealership where rental bikes pick-up is scheduled. Rental formalities completed, the tour begins. Group rides out of downtown Las Vegas on I-515 South towards the gigantic Hoover Dam, supplying power for the needs of the city of Las Vegas. Great photo opportunity. At the Dam, photo souvenir at Arizona Sta. After leaving the Dam, we ride southbound on Hwy 93 entering the Mohave Desert. Great stop and photo opportunity at Rosie's Den, where participants get refreshment form the heat and have a first real glimpse and taste of roadside life. After leaving Rosie'e Den, riding takes the group to Kingman, to meet with Route 66 world and Santa Fe railroad. A refreshing dive in the pool of the hotel, with the Route 66 logo on the bottom of the pool, is followed by beers and food. After dinner (including brifing on the day after's programme), a small station on Beale Street, in front of the historic Beale Hotel, allows to sit by the railroad tracks to watch the gigantic and never-ending freight trains of the Santa Fe pass by

2 Day 3 Kingman, AZ Palm Springs, CA 250miles Departure from hotel is scheduled at 8 am, to allow the time for stopping and shopping at Mother Road HD dealership before leaving Kingman. The second stage of the tour will take the group into California on Route 66. First stop on the way, one of the most unique places on the Route 66. Oatman is famous for The Oatman Motel, with his dollar-covered walls, the place where Clark Gable and Carol Lombard spent their wedding night. And it is famous for the wild boros that live thereby, a most liked attraction for all he visitors. Sightseeing, shopping and photoshooting in Oatman are a perfect option to catch the real old west flavour, before getting on saddle again to ride down to the scorching hot Mohave Desert across the California state border. After a short ride on I-40, group gest on California Route 66 to see mythic places like Roy's Cafe and Amboy ghost town. Then, a ride south to the surprising Joshua Tree National Park, last stop getting to elegant and charming Palm Springs. Day 4 Palm Springs, CA Los Angeles, CA 180miles Group leaves hotel at 8 am. Visit to famous Aerial Tramway climbing up to Mount San Jacinto, then the group heads north to San Bernardino to meet again Historic Route 66, then south west all the way through to the coast. We will be riding north along the shore on mythic Pacific Coast Hwy 1 through the beautiful and picturesqe villages of Laguna Beach, Newport Beach, Huntigton Beach and Long Beach. Lunch at the Long Beach marina facing the Queen Mary ship. Group leaves Long Beach and heads North on I-110 to reach the very heart of Los Angeles. Hotel accomodation at Best Western Hotel on Sunset Boulevard. Then, visit to Sunset Boulevard and Hollywood Blvd attractions linked with the history of Hollywood movies. Dinner with live music at The House of Blues on Sunset Boulevard, at walking distance from the hotel. Day 5 Los Angeles, CA / Santa Monica, CA 50miles Day dedicated to sightseeing in Los Angeles. Rides to Beverly Hills to see the villas and Rodeo Drive for upscale shopping. Then, Santa Monica and Venice Beach, for a day at the seaside in the unique flavour of the shoreline boulevard with its market. Visit to Bartel's HD dealership for shopping. Optional visit to Universal Studios suggested by tour guide/s. Back to the Hotel for drink and dinner on Sunset Boulevard.

3 Day 6 Los Angeles, CA - San Simeon, CA 250miles Few roads are dreamt of and referred to as the Pacific Coast Highway 1, that many bikers consider as the ultimate riding exprience. Departing at 8am from LA, road takes participants through Santa Monica and Malibu Beach up to Santa Barbara in the Ventura County. Nice memories of the celebrated Ventura Highway come to mind when stopping at Ventura HD dealership in Santa Barbara. After passing the perfect nordic style village of Solvang, hairpins and slopes alternate while the asphalt unfolds between the inland forest and the deep blue ocean sea on the left. Viewpoints on wild shoreline are frequent. Romantic San Louis Obispo offers a nice opportunity to stop for lunch. Afternoon riding takes the group through unexpected scottish medieval village of Cambria to San Simeon, small village featuring a huge wood pier and dominated by Hearst Castle. Being almost perfectly half-way between LA and Frisco, San Simeon is a goon choice for overnight stay and dinner. Guest have hotel accomodation at Best Western Cavalier Oceanfront Resort. Day 7 San Simeon, CA - San Francisco, CA 220miles Departure at 9 am brings the group on the remaining section of the Highway 1 to San Francisco. The road offers spectacular views on the coast slashed by the big ocean waves. Lovely Carmel-by-the-Sea is a must-see stop. The small village has been attracting for decades artists, photographers, writers and arts enthusiasts thanks to its inspiring natural beauty. Romantic shoreline sunsets, colorful nature and elegant architecture. Road past Carmel takes to Monterey, while lunch is scheduled at Half Moon Bay, gorgeous surfers' paradise, last stop before San Francisco. Arrival to San Francisco at mid afternoon leaves time for hotel check-in (hotel at Fisherman's Wharf) and first sightseeing before dinner. Day 8 Full day dedicated to San Francisco sightseing After riding to and over must-see Golden Gate Bridge, stop at Sausalito marina and then visit to Golden Gate HD dealership. Then ride back to Frisco for Dudley Perkins HD dealership. City visit continues downtown, with Union Square and its trolleys, then Lombard Street, Chinatown and finally Fisherman's Wharf close to the hotel. Lunch at Pier 39 and optional afternoon trip to Alcatraz Island. As an alternative, suggested visit to Ashbury distict, where the hippie movement was born and where still is alive, with its unique population, fancy vintage shsps and architecture.

4 Day 9 San Francisco, CA - El Portal, CA 180miles Late morning departure (after final shopping and visiting in Frisco) for a stage which is only meant to take participants as close as possible to Yosemite National Park, next outstanding attraction of the tour. Road takes the group across the Frisco Bay to Oakland, on I-880 and the I-580, through some unusual territory and past the towns of Modesto and Mariposa. El Portal small village provides hotel accomodation (Yosemite View Lodge) and dinner facility just a couple miles from Yosemite National Park West entrance (Arch Rock Entrance), perfect gateway to one of the natural wonders on the American South West. Day 10 El Portal, CA - Big Pine, CA 180miles Departure from hotel is scheduled at 8 am and group rides into Yosemite National Park through Arch Rock Entrance on Hwy 140. Yosemite, one of the first wilderness parks in the United States, is best known for its waterfalls. Road enters deep into the park and offers multiple oppotunities. Hwy 140 takes into Yosemite Valley allowing spectacular riding flanking the Merced River. Once completed the valley loop, the group takes spectacular Tioga Road, climbing to the very top of the park and allowing unparalleled view of the area. Road goes up to Tioga Pass, at 3.31 mt, marking the eastern exit (or entrance) of the Park. Past he Tioga Pass, road winds down to Lee Vining, on Hwy 395, with Mono Basin scenic area, Mammoth Lakes complex and arival at Big Pine, where the group finds hotel accomodation an dinner. Day 11 Big Pine, CA Las Vegas, NV 260miles From the the beauty of high mountain wilderness to the depth of the driest and lowest spot in North America: destination Death valley! Long mileage to go and necessity to cross the Valley early during the day due to August extreme heat. Death Valley explains its nature by its name. A superlative, immense (3 million acres) and colorful desert made of sand dunes and solid rock layers, snow-capped mountains and water-fluted canyons and natural unique phenomena, home to plants and animals. Group rides down Hwy 395 and then onto Hwy 136 / 190 immediately after Lone Pine. Hwy 190 crosses Death Valley through and offers the best opportunity to experience the unbelievable nature of the area still being on a road. Once inside the Valley, Furnace Creek Visitor Center provides first stop and refreshment opportunity for riders before they face the longer section on Badwater Road. Ride takes the group to celebrated spots like Zabriskie Point and then past Badwater Basin. At Pahrump group takes Hwy 160 East through spectacular and dramatic Spring Mountain Range area before reaching Las Vegas. Relax by the swimming pool and dinner at the hotel are the perfect conclusion for a long and demanding day that has taken participants through one on the most unique and stunning places in the world.

5 Day 12 Bikes drop-off at Las Vegas HD dealership. Then, free day at Las Vegas for shopping and personal leisure activities. Farewell dinner offered by tour guides. Distribution of California and Bikers American Dream souvenir patches to all participants. Day 13 Pick-up from New York Hotel to Las Vegas airport. Flight from Las Vegas back to Europe.
