Gina s College teaches the European method as learned by Gina and Cristina in Italy. With many years of experience they then expanded the method to master the traditional techniques of the trade while taking advantage of the most modern technologies. We pride ourselves in our delivery style incorporating a comprehensive theory with at least 50% devoted to practical application. This industry is experiencing a tremendous growth while more beauty spas are also offering non invasive, low risk cosmetic procedures to provide clients with a one stop spa experience. This program is designed to prepare the student with the ability to work in a medical setting, medical spas and beauty clinics with clients seeking the newest and most comprehensive skin treatments. Our Medical Aesthetics program is made up of three separate courses: Medical Skin Care, Laser Hair Removal, and Photo Light Laser Course. 8 SPA BEAUTY THERAPY A LEGACY OF SUCCESS. SPA BEAUTY THERAPY Topics of Study: Spa Concept, Client Management, Figure Analysis, Body Exfoliation, Cellulite & Stretch Marks Treatments. Body Wraps, Electrotherapy for the Body, use of Various Specialized Body Equipment, mud treatments and sea algae treatments. RELAXING SPA BODY MASSAGE (NOT RMT) Topics of Study: Students will learn the 4 classical massage techniques: effleurage, petrissage, tapotement and vibrations used in body massage. STONE BODY MASSAGE Stone massage therapy is a holistic treatment based on the use of hot basalt stones to massage and assist the body in self healing by balancing body energies. AROMATHERAPY Aromatherapy treatments involve the use of customized blends of essential oils to massage the body & relieve common ailments while acting on the Mind & Body philosophy. The waxing course is ideal for beginners who are looking for a start in the beauty business. Topics of Study: Includes professional waxing techniques for face, and body including bikini and waxing on male clients. Students will work with various waxes on the market including soft wax, cream waxes and traditional hard wax. ELECTROLYSIS DIPLOMA Electrolysis is medically recognized as being a permanent hair removal method for face and body. As more laser hair removal clinics are opening the demand for skilled electrologists is also growing as they are busier than ever providing treatments for those hair types difficult to treat with laser. Medical laser clinics prefer to hire electrologists as they are more knowledgeable and trained in the art of hair removal. This course will teach students the two most common modalities used in electrolysis: Thermolysis and the Blend.
