3 Interface is a Parent Forum for parent carers of children and young people with SEN and/or disabilities (physical, learning, communication, behavioural, sensory and rare disorders) aged It is made up of parent carers of disabled children and disabled young people. The forum engages with the Local Authority and Health and promotes parent participation so that service planning and delivery better meets the needs of disabled children and young people and their families living in Redbridge. Interface cannot take up individual issues, but need to know if there are patterns of problems for disabled children. 4 Haven House toy loan scheme Set up to meet the needs of parents to have access to specialist toys and equipment for them to use with their children at home. The service is available to children with any type of additional need and is free. Parents can access the Home Loan Catalogue via and can choose toys and equipment which they feel their children will benefit from. The toys and equipment can be delivered to and collected from the family home, although some families prefer to come to the Hospice and look through the stock for themselves. We can help you to find the activities that you and your child are looking for and support them through the settling in process. 6 Parents of Autistic Children Together, or PACT as we are otherwise known, is a voluntary organisation that aims to support the needs of families, carers and friends of children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders living in Barking & Dagenham, Havering and Redbridge. PACT was formed in response to a lack of specialist service provision in this part of North East London/Essex. Since our formation in 1995, we have provided a fully integrated activity programme for families of Autistic children, offering activities which are generally inaccessible due to lack of suitability, inadequate support and absence of specialised facilities. In addition, we offer advice and information on the many issues which affect Autistic individuals - ranging from welfare benefits and education advice to dietary information and behaviour management. "To empower young people on the Autistic Continuum by the provision of advice, support, information, training and educational activities, aiding them towards equal opportunities & social integration: and by the provision of the same services to their carers, families and friends, enable them to assist the young people to achieve that end"

8 National Support The National autistic society is a UK charity for people with autism (including Asperger Syndrome) and their families. They provide information, support and pioneering services, and campaign for a better world for people with autism. Contact a Family is a national charity that exists to support the families of disabled children whatever their condition or disability. SIBS support siblings of all ages who are growing up with or who have grown up with a brother or sister with any disability, long term chronic illness, or life limiting condition. Sibs have a phone and service for adult siblings for help with any adult sibling issue. They provide information and support to young siblings (children and young people) on any sibling issue. They have a parenting siblings phone service for parents to help them support siblings with sibling issues such as giving attention, explaining disability, and dealing with siblings' feelings. Fledglings is a national charity that finds and sells products that improve the lives of disabled children and their families. Cerebra is a unique charity set up to help improve the lives of children with brain related conditions through research, education and directly supporting the children and their carers. They provide information, grants and publications including a guide to filling in DLA forms.

9 The Family Fund We are the UK s largest provider of grants to low-income families raising disabled and seriously ill children and young people. We help ease the additional pressures families face.
