Conveniently located in the heart of Birmingham City Centre, the venue is a hidden gem with delightful surroundings and a contrast of 1930 s and modern design. The rooms have been designed with flexibility in mind, each being able to provide a customised layout and tailored to meet your needs. Our environmentally-friendly approach continues throughout, with our use of fair-trade refreshments, to recycling all of our waste packaging and paper. Our trading profits are given to charity and make a valuable contribution to the local community. Inspired Surroundings, great service & the ultimate location. Rooms Stretched over three floors, our nine rooms vary in size and can accommodate anything between 2 to 200 people. They can be set up in various styles to suit you and all offer free Wi-Fi connection. The Main Meeting House, set in the original part of the building is seeped in history. It boasts beautiful original features, a spectacularly high ceiling, great acoustics and can seat up to 200 guests. Our tranquil garden area is there for people who want a breath of fresh air and offers a delightful courtyard for those wanting to enjoy their lunch outside. A perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life. 7 As well as being a conference centre, the Priory Rooms also plays a big part in Birmingham s Quaker history. Similar to companies such as Cadbury s, Rowntrees, Clarks Shoes and Barclays Bank who were all Quaker businesses in their origin, the Priory Rooms donates it profits to the local Quaker community for them to use within their charities. History In 1702 Quakers acquired the land that The Priory Rooms stands on today and built a Meeting House, this was the first of three to be built on this site and in 1933 the present Meeting House was built. This continues to serve as a base for Bull Street Quaker Meetings and the Society of Friends. Quakers have certain values including Integrity, Peace, Equality and Simplicity and a respect for the world around them. Our business is based on these values, from minimising our impact on the environment, to speaking plainly about the service we provide and avoiding devious sales language - you ll find that there are never any hidden extra s.
