All our sessions aim to enhance and consolidate aspects of the new curriculum by enriching students learning experience with hands-on activities relating to the natural world. All sessions include biofacts (skulls, skins and stuffed specimens) and three live animals. 2 African experience (Easter to October half-term) The group goes on safari to the African savannah and enters a camouflaged tent through which they hear the calls of the animals outside. Features of the savannah environment, including weather and locations How animals are suited to the savannah environment Pros and cons of tourism and protecting the savannah environment Discovery This session has a lucky dip content, full of amazing animal facts and with an emphasis on fun-based activities. Food chains, fangs and molars Teeth and mouthparts Importance of nutrition Carnivores, omnivores and herbivores

5 Polar experience (October half-term to Easter) A polar explorer greets the group and takes them to an expedition base to escape the roaring winds outside. Please note that this session only includes one live animal. How animals and explorers survive in cold environments Features of polar regions, including weather and locations The life of an antarctic penguin through the seasons Rainforest experience The group enters a rainforest clearing to the sound of night-time calls.
