1 Cleaning Schedule for Meriden Sports Pavilion

3 Key aims To provide and maintain buildings and facilities that meets the expectations of users. To establish and maintain high standards of cleanliness. To provide a basic level of immediate maintenance as part of the general daily cleansing / inspection. To minimise the amount of time that facilities are unavailable to users. To be available to undertake any other cleaning function if so required. Method of Operation Contractor may use such methods appropriate to achieve the desired standards within the specification. General Requirements The building and toilets shall be cleaned to the specified frequency and shall be maintained in a clean, tidy and presentable manner. The Contractor will be required to maintain a log for the facilities and will record time and date of cleaning and the reason for any closure (if any). General Cleaning Heavy Soiling The Contractor shall remove heavy soiling at the same time as the routine cleaning process. If steam cleaner is to be utilised then the Contractor must ensure that this is only carried out on surfaces that will not be damaged by steam cleaning. Instances of heavy soiling will be recorded. Cleaning Utensils Rags, cloths, brushes, mops etc. used for the cleaning of appliances in lavatory apartments must not be used for cleaning wash hand basins, neither shall the same set of cleaning materials be used for cleaning sinks, drinking water taps and fountains or any appliances connected with the drinking of water. All cleaning materials and agents to meet national standards and COSHH regulations 2002 of cleaning public areas. Internal Cleaning of Pavilion including changing rooms, toilets, referees room, kitchen and office (Weekly and on additional requests) Empty and sanitise all litter bins giving particular attention to kitchen and toilets.

4 Empty, double bag and remove all sanitary waste from water closets and changing areas replacing scented liners. Clean and dry polish all hand basins, shower areas and cubicles, sinks, taps and sanitary fittings. Weekly checks and replenishment of all toilet and hand rolls, and soap dispensers. Clean and dry polish all tiles and taps, and all associated pipework, traps and fittings. Clean and sanitise all urinals, water closets and associated pipework, traps, fittings, wash water closet seats and dry polish. Clean and sanitise all walls, doors and other surfaces and remove graffiti (if any). Weekly checks and refill of all toilet paper containers and paper towel dispensers, leaving a sufficient supply of paper towels at each location. Wipe clean dispenser. Wash all ledges, sills, doors, walls, porous surfaces shall be spot cleaned as appropriate to the type of surface Where fitted, clean surfaces of hand dryers Remove dust and cobwebs from ceiling Remove from hand basins any visible obstructions (using handplunger if necessary) to release / prevent blockages Uncarpeted floors: - thoroughly sweep all floors; all unpolished floors shall be washed with a deodorant cleaner and dried with a clean mop, so as to remove all dirt and stains and leave in a dry condition; stains on polished floors caused by spillage shall be removed by damp mopping and left in a dry condition Carpeted floors: - vacuum clean all carpets, rugs and footmats; marks and stains, howsoever caused, shall be removed as soon as possible by an approved method. Clean kitchen floor. Lift and clean foot mats and floor surface beneath. Clean all items of furniture, locker surfaces and wall decorations removing dirty marks, taking care not to damage the finished surfaces Wipe clean with anti-bacterial cleaner kitchen surfaces, units and appliances including monthly cleaning of fridge.

5 Clean and dry polish kitchen sink, hand wash basin and taps, replenish soap dispenser. Structures External Sweep entrance and pavilion surrounds (including car park and Pavilion of leaves and grass). Clean all doors, including kick plates, handle plates and handles etc., removing stubborn marks; care should be taken not to damage paintwork or other finished surfaces. Clean all glazed and window areas including fortnightly interior window clean of Pavilion spectator windows and doors. Clean all exterior windows monthly. Clean all interior windows quarterly. Wipe clean and dry polish window frames, notice boards, casings, doorframes etc. Additional Cleaning The Contractor shall:- Wipe clean external covers to light fittings and where removable treat the interior surface in a similar manner (6 monthly). Clean all glazed and window areas (2 monthly). Descale all sanitary ware (6 monthly). Undertake to ensure that all traces of body fat deposits and lime scale are removed from shower areas cubicles in a recognised manner. Clean shower drains of any blockage. Undertake a deep clean twice annually. Method of Assessment Weekly monitoring and recording sheets.
