Insert SAS/SATA Card int an available x8 r x16 PCIe slt. Cnnect SATA HDD t ne prt f ne SFF-8087 cnnectr. Pwer up the system. 2. Put Windws OS Setup CD int the CD-ROM/DVD drive, and diskette including all directries and files under SAS\Marvell\M9485\Windws int the flppy drive A f system. G Step 3. if OS is XP, but jump t Step 5. if OS is Vista r Win7. 3. Press F6 t initiate third party SCSI r RAID driver installatin at the beginning f XP text mde installatin. Press 'S' when screen message asks and Select & Enter t pick up Marvell 94XX SAS/SATA Cntrller 32bit (r 64bit) Drive fr twice. Then yu will see the driver files Marvell 94XX SAS/SATA RAID Cntrller and Marvell RAID Virtual Device will be extracted and cpied t the system. 4. Then cntinue with the XP Text Mde Setup and g t Step 7. after all the XP installatin is finished. 5. Fllw the instructins t lad file by brwsing Driver CD either frm SAS\Marvell\M9485\Windws\amd64 r i386. Then select yur chices f disk partitin and ther setup peratins. 6. After setup examining disk, it will cpy files frm OS CD t the hard drive and restart the system. Then it will resume t finish the Win7/Vista installatin. 7. Once the Fresh Installatin has cmpleted, g t Sectin 2.3. t verify if the installatin Adding the HBA t an existing Windws 7 / Vista / XP installatin Pwer ff the system. Insert SAS/SATA Card int an available x8 r x16 PCIe slt. Pwer up the system. During system bt-up, Windws will display the messages such as 'Fund New Hardware Wizard' (XP), Windws needs t install... (Vista), & Device driver sftware was nt successfully installed (Win7). Cancel and Right click My Cmputer, select Manage, then select Device Manager. Then g t 'SCSI and RAID Cntrller (XP) r Other Devices/RAID Cntrller (Vista & Win7) t start the manual driver installatin by starting with Fund New Hardware Wizard then g t Hardware Update Wizard. Depending n system OS (32bit r 64bit), with Hardware Update Wizard, brwse and select either ne directry i386 r amd64 n Driver CD under the path \SAS\Marvell\M9485\Windws fr installatin. Windws will display message t ask yur Next r Install Marvell 94XX SAS/SATA RAID Cntrller & Marvell RAID Virtual Device (XP), r Marvell Strage Cntrller & Marvell 94XX SAS/SATA RAID Cntrller (Vista & -3-

4 Win7). Fr Win7, please Restart System after Marvell Strage Cntrller installatin. 6. Fllw the instructins until Finish. 7. Once the Adding Installatin has cmpleted, g t Sectin 2.3. t verify if it is crrect r nt. 2.3.Verifying The installatin Windws 7 / Vista /XP 1. Right click My Cmputer, select Manage, then select Device Manager. 2. Duble click 'SCSI and RAID Cntrllers t check if any '!' r '?' marks in frnt f 'Marvell 94XX SAS/SATA RAID Cntrller. 3.
