1 Hampton Middle School Video Contest Dear Applicant: Hampton Middle School is proud to announce our annual video contest. This event will culminate with an award show where student videos will be showcased and prizes will be given to top videos. Please read through the packet, preview the rules, categories, complete the application, and consent form. We look forward to seeing your great videos. If you have any questions or concerns, please see Mr. Shumaker or Ms. Cohen. Thanks, Mr. Shumaker & Ms. Cohen
2 General Rules 1. Up to three students may work together on a video. All names must be on the application. 2. You may have as many actors as you need. 3. You are permitted to submit up to two videos total into the competition within any category -A new application form per video 4. All applicants must be attending Hampton Middle School. 5. Actors not presently attending Hampton Middle School are acceptable. 6. All videos must be G rated. 7. Applications must be properly filled out. 8. Everyone participating in the video must have a consent form completed. That means directors and actors. 9. Videos may be turned in as AVI, WMV file, or as a DVD 10. All music must be original or from a site that offers non-copyrighted music All or part of one s video may be used by the district for various district publications. 11. All videos must have a title slide and credits at the end.
3 Public Service Announcement (PSA) Length: 30 seconds to 2:00 seconds Documentary Length: 1:30 seconds to 5 minutes Trailer Length: 45 seconds to 2:30 seconds Comedy Length: 1:30 to 5 minutes Science Fiction/Mystery/Suspense Length: 1:30 seconds to 5 minutes Commercial Length: 30 seconds to 1 minute Drama Length 2:30 to 6 minutes Categories Open Length 2:30 to 6 minutes
