STEVENS, PE, F.ASCE PROJECT LIST TRANSPORTATION (road design, right-of -way engineering, and surveying) Camino Del Rio North, City of San Diego, CA: Principal -in-charge and Project Engineer for the widening and realignment of 1.2 miles of Camino del Rio North from Mission City Parkway (formally Milly Way) to Qualcomm Way in the City of San Diego. The project included, alignment and aerial topographic surveys of the roadway, preparation of environmental documentation including wetland impact mitigation plans; extensive soils investigations to identify adverse subsurface conditions which could impact roadway performance; and a preliminary alignment study to minimize impacts to the wetland habitat. Preparation of final plans, specifications, and estimates to City of San Diego Major Road Standards, including provisions for surcharging highly compressible soils and dynamic deep compaction of existing rubble fills; preparation of right-of-way plats and legal descriptions for use during condemnation proceedings for a portion of the roadway alignment; coordination with CalTrans for the right-of-way for future hook ramps from Interstate 8; traffic signal plans for the intersections of Qualcomm Way and Mission Center Parkway; and preparation of condemnation exhibits for the City. The project also included construction management services, construction staking and final monumentation. Espola Road, City of Poway, CA: Principal-in-charge and Project Engineer for the widening and realignment of 2.0 miles of Espola Road from Poway High School to the intersection of Orchard Bend Road in the City of Poway. The project included aerial topographic and ground surveys of the existing roadway alignment; preparation of right-of-way documentation and subdivision maps; preparation of environmental documentation; soils investigations to identify adverse subsurface conditions which could impact roadway performance; traffic studies and preliminary alignment study
5 to minimize impacts on stands of large eucalyptus trees along the alignment; preparation of final plans, specifications and estimates to County of San Diego and City of Poway Major Road Standards; plans for traffic signals at the intersection of Lake Poway Road, complete signing and striping plans and construction phasing plans; and construction staking of all improvements and final monumentation of the roadway alignment and associated subdivisions. Harbor Drive, City of San Diego, CA: Principal-in-charge for the widening and realignment of 0.5 miles of Harbor Drive from First Street to Pacific Coast Highway in the City of San Diego. The project included aerial topographic and ground surveys of the existing and proposed alignment; preparation of environmental documentation; traffic studies and preliminary alignment study to evaluate alternative alignments. Preparation of final plans, specifications and estimates to City of San Diego Major Road Standards. Plans included traffic signals at key intersections along the alignment; complete signing and striping plans, construction phasing plans; complete right-of-way acquisition documents; and landscaping and irrigation plans for median and parkways. Adams Avenue, City of San Diego, CA: Principal-incharge for the Street Scape Master Planning of Adams Avenue from Texas Street to Interstate 15 and Street Scape Improvements for a three block segment of Adams Avenue between Felton St. and Mansfield Street in the Normal Heights Area of the City of San Diego. The project included aerial topographic and ground surveys of the existing alignment; preparation of environmental documentation; traffic studies and preliminary street scape plans. Preparation of final plans, specifications and estimates, to City of San Diego Major Road Standards; plans included traffic signal modifications and special electrical facilities at key intersections along the alignment, (to accommodate the annual Adams Avenue Street Fair); complete signing and striping plans, construction phasing plans; and complete landscaping and irrigation plans for the parkways.
6 San Diego & Arizona Eastern RR Excess Right-of-Way Acquisition, City of La Mesa, CA: One of the Project Surveyors for the boundary analysis and preparation of rightof-way plats and legal descriptions for a 1.5 mile reach of the SD&AE RR right-of-way in the City of La Mesa. The project included record research, field surveying, boundary analysis, preparation of right-of-way plats and writing legal descriptions for over 100 individual parcels of excess railroad right-of-way along Spring Street which were to be acquired by the City of La Mesa. Other Major Streets & Road projects include: Preliminary design of 1.2 miles of Mission Road in the Fallbrook area of San Diego County. First and Front Streets, City of San Diego. Eighth Avenue, City of San Diego. 5th Ave., City of Chula Vista. Meadowbrook Drive, City of San Diego. COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL Centerside Towers Phases I & II, City of San Diego, CA: Principal-in-Charge and Project Engineer for a twin 16 story, 500,000 square foot, commercial office complex in Mission Valley in the City of San Diego. Services included boundary, ALTA and aerial topographic surveys, complete civil engineering design including mass and fine grading plans; foundation surcharge plans; horizontal control plans; hydrology studies; storm drain design; analysis of project impacts within the 100 year flood plain of the San Diego River; design of sewer collection, and pumping station, water distribution and fire services to the site; public improvement plans, specifications and estimates for the construction of all private and public roadways; surface parking and parking structures for over 1200 vehicles; subdivision mapping and processing; construction staking and construction administration services.

Maxwell Laboratories, San Diego, CA: Complete civil and structural engineering services for the development of a 8,000 square foot source region electromagnetic pulse (SREMP) test facilities. Project included the design of an electrically isolated structure of wood exterior walls with a pressurized PVC air dome roof. Codura Publications Scripps Ranch Facility, San Diego, CA: Complete civil engineering and surveying services for the construction of a two story, 40,000 square foot, printing and publishing facility with appurtenant utilities and parking facilities.
9 NCR Scripps Ranch Facility, San Diego, CA: Complete civil engineering and surveying services for the construction of a 35,000 square foot R&D facility with appurtenant utilities and parking facilities. Trade Services, Torrey Pines Science Park, La Jolla, CA: Complete civil engineering and surveying services for the construction of a 60,000 square foot R&D facility with appurtenant utilities and parking facilities. EDUCATIONAL/INSTITUTION FACILITIES Washington Elementary School and Amigo Park, San Diego Unified School District and Center City Development Corporation, San Diego, CA: Principal-in- Charge and Project Engineer for the planning and design of Amigo Park and its integration with Washington Elementary School in downtown San Diego. The Park was a joint use project of the School District and CCDC. It consisted of the redevelopment of 2 city blocks into a shared use park and play field facility in the downtown area of San Diego known as Little Italy. The Public has access to the fields and related facilities in the evening and on weekends with the school controlling access and using the fields and facilities during school hours. The project included planning, topographic and field surveying of the existing school site, adjacent property and streets; preparation of demolition plans, horizontal control plans, precise grading, paving and drainage plans and street improvement plans; preparation of street vacation plans and lot consolidation parcel map; construction surveying, and construction inspection. Security of the School during public use and access to the park was a critical issue in the design of the facilities. Rancho Bernardo High School & Bernardo Heights Middle School, Poway School District, San Diego, CA: Principal-in-Charge for the planning and civil engineering design of the combined campus of Rancho Bernardo High School & Bernardo Heights Middle School. Services included boundary, and aerial topographic surveys of the 80
10 acre site; preparation of grading, paving, drainage and utility plans for the entire campus. Preparation of offsite public improvement plans for water, sewer and streets; construction staking of the middle school and construction administration. Campus Service Facility and Biological Field Station, University of California San Diego, La Jolla, CA: Principal-in-Charge and Project Engineer for the planning and design of the campus service facility and biological field station at UCSD. Services included aerial topographic and field surveying of the site and adjacent Old Miramar Road; preparation of horizontal control plans, mass grading plans, precise grading and paving plans, erosion control, sewer, water and storm drain plans, subsurface drainage system for the biological growing fields; improvement plans for the widening of Old Miramar Road. L.R. Green Elementary School, Escondido Unified School District, Escondido, CA: Principal-in-Charge and Project Engineer for the planning and design of all civil improvements for the L.R. Services included aerial topographic and field surveying of the site and adjacent streets, preparation of horizontal control plans, precise grading, paving and drainage plans, coordination with District Architect and other project consultants, assistance with processing of plans with OSA, and construction administration services. La Jolla High School, San Diego Unified School District, La Jolla, CA: Project Design Engineer for the civil engineering of campus. Services included grading and paving plans; utility plans; horizontal control plans, hydrology and storm drain design. RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENTS Planning, preliminary design, and construction documents for over 750 single-family detached homes and 2,500 multifamily dwelling units including Bridlewood, a 419-unit single-family subdivision located in Poway, and Granview Villas, a 519-unit multifamily condominium project located in Escondido. These projects included the design of miles of both public and private sewer, water, and storm drainage facilities. PUBLIC WORKS PROJECTS Responsible for the design of numerous public works projects involving sewer trunk lines, storm drain improvements, storm drain channels, storm drain pipelines, water distribution trunk lines involving deep trenches for various agencies within Southern California. Design included preparation of plans, specifications, and engineering cost estimates. Various agencies represented include: City of San Diego, County of San Diego, City of La Mesa, County of Orange, City of Pomona, City of Rancho Cucamonga, El Camino Real Municipal Water District, Padre Dam Municipal Water District, Helix Water District, San Diego Unified School District, San Dieguito Union High School District, Poway High School District, Grossmont Community College District and Grossmont Hosipital District.
