3 A. FIRST BLOG: Create your user account and give name to your blog

4 Choose create Free blog

5 Dashboard is backend of your blog. It's place for writing, editing of pages/articles, settings etc..

6 You can go to dashboard always from "shortcut" menu

7 Dashboard gives an overview of your blog. Left-sidebar is place to "tune" everything

8 You can invite other people to update your blog (group blog)

9 You can update your profile it will be visible if you insert gravatar widget (more information in the following pages)

10 Theme is look of your blog. You can choose your theme and tune it.

11 you can drag widgets to sidebars Widgets are "small apps". You can choose your own from wide collection. You can see that links widget is chosen as an example

12 Links widget shows links which are configured here

14 Most important widgets are * categories (structure of your articles) and tags (content description) * meta (log-in, log-out) * links * Gravatar profile (overview of you)

20 When you want to insert image to your post, click "camera" button

26 You can set publicity level of your post A. Public (all visitors see) - stick this post.. (top of the frontpage) B. Password protected (this post is visible to visitors who know password) C. Private (you will see your post when logged in) You can publish in the future or in the past

27 You can block "robots" (search engines) You can make your blog to be totally private (not recommandable and not allowed in course context) You can reduce privacy settings also at blog level

28 You can have multiple blogs.. B. SECOND BLOG: Use your existing account and create your new blog just typing adress of the new blog "newname.wordpress.com" to adress bar
