3 PILLARS OF PILLAR #1 Define your Dream 1
4 PILLARS OF PILLAR #1 What is your Dream? Be Specific. The clarity and depth of your dream will help you stay on track. Include things such as, where will you be when you achieve it, the dates, who will be with you, what will you be wearing, etc. Allow the emotion of reaching your dream drive you.
5 PILLARS OF PILLAR #1 Commitment Although your commitment to your dream is important, YOU must be equally committed to all aspect of your life. You have many roles in your life. You may be an athlete, student, brother, sister, daughter, mother, son, father, friend and/or teammate, etc, and in order to reach your dream, you must be equally devoted to all your roles. To get started, list all the roles you have in your life, including the role defined in your dream. (Use additional paper if necessary)
6 PILLARS OF PILLAR #1 Commitment Once you have determined all your roles, identify 3 ways you can increase your committment to each role. (ie: Helping your parents/partner with chores around the house) Tip: Strengthening your commitment to each role helps you move closer to reaching your dream.
7 PILLARS OF PILLAR #1 Accountability What does Accountability mean to you? List the last 5 times you demonstrated accountability in your life?
8 PILLARS OF PILLAR #1 Accountability In spite of the challenges and hurdles you will encounter along your journey, YOU must remain committed to your dreams. List all the things you can do to ensure you remain committed to increasing your contribution to each role? (ie: If helping your parents around the house is your commitment; you could demonstrate your you accountability by completing your chores before you begin playing video games each day) Tip: The more you give, the more you receive.

10 PILLARS OF PILLAR #2 Environment Successful people understand that a strong community provides the tools and resources to stay on track, focused and aligned with their dreams. 11 PILLARS OF PILLAR #2 Building YOUR Inner Circle You have the luxury and freedom to create an inner circle that serves you and your dream. Select as many as 10 people (Feel free to select more than 10) whom you admire, respect, and believe have the leadership and knowledge you need to reach your dreams Tip: Think beyond your immediate family and friends
12 PILLARS OF PILLAR #2 Putting YOUR Inner Circle to work Invite your inner circle to a meeting hosted by you, at your home, or a location that is mutually beneficial for everyone, to explain why and how you have selected them to your team. (for members outside of your geographical area, arrange to have them attend by skype, phone, webinar, etc) Your 1st Inner Circle meeting - Step #1 Present the following to your guests 1) Play the 3 free Pillars of Greatness videos 2) Define your dream 3) Read the following statements aloud; - Here is where I am (Explain where you are in your journey) - Here is who I am (Explain the other roles you are committed to strengthening) - Here is where I am going (Define your dream. Include details) 4) Hand each inner circle member a document where you have defined what you would like from him/her and why. (Have this document prepared in advance, and be open to discussing) Once you have completed step 1, open the meeting for questions and allow each inner circle member the freedom to accept or decline your offer. (Do not take their decisions personally) If someone isn t able to commit, it is better to know now.
13 PILLARS OF PILLAR #2 Step #2 Collect and record each agreeable members contact numbers and information.
14 PILLARS OF PILLAR #2 Step #3 Discuss and record all suggestions/direction offered by any/all inner circle members. This is your journey. Accept direction/ideas that feel right for you. If you don't understand a suggestion, or disagree, discuss and explain your views with your inner circle.
15 PILLARS OF PILLAR #2 Step #4 Commit to completing the direction suggested and book the next meeting. (May apply to all or only some guests, depending upon the task(s) at hand.) Step #5 Plan regular meeting(s) with some and/or all of your inner circle. Keep your team to coach, mentor, and guide you along your path to reaching your dreams.
16 PILLARS OF PILLAR #2 Participation Participating in all the roles within your community, including the role as an athlete, is essential. Now is your time to become actively involved in all areas of your community. How can inspire, support and, be of service to other people within your community? Sharing is caring.
17 PILLARS OF PILLAR #2 Participation Sometimes we withhold our abilities and skills from members of our community, as a way of reducing the risk of rejection and/or failure. How can you take action and say what needs to be said, and/or do the necessary work to show to the leaders within your community you are serious about reaching your dream? (ie; Is there something you want to discuss with a coach/teacher, or leader within your community.)
18 PILLARS OF PILLAR #2 Participation Do you bring your absolute best to all you do with your sports team? If not, what areas can you improve? (IE: Can you improve your physical conditioning, your knowledge of your game, focus, body language, and/or discipline?) By identifying and improving these areas, coaches, leaders, teachers and other decision makers will begin giving you the opportunities you want. Tip Use our inner circle for ideas and support.
19 PILLARS OF PILLAR #2 Contribution Although contribution to your sport team is important, remember Pillar # 1. Success is hinged on becoming a complete person. How can you increase your contribution to people and things outside of your athletic community? Tip Where can you lead others? How can you give back and/or pay it forward?
20 PILLARS OF PILLAR #2 Contribution How can you increase your contribution to yourself and begin walking the walk within your sport and personal community? (ie: would improving your attitude, mental focus, and/or discipline when things don't go your way be beneficial for you?) By devoting effort to these areas, coaches, leaders, teachers, other decision makers, will begin giving you the opportunities you deserve. Tip Use our inner circle for ideas and support.
21 PILLARS OF PILLAR #2 Leadership - Coaching Successful people carefully select coaches who lead them into battle, as well as inspiring them, on the field of battle. Selecting the right leadership for YOU is essential! What style of leadership do you perform well under? Consider things such as, how do you prefer to be spoken with while under pressure, how do you prefer feedback, teaching style, etc.
22 PILLARS OF PILLAR #2 Selecting the right coach for you A coach can MAKE or BREAK you! Interview your coaches thoroughly and take our time. Consider things such as; how the coaches preform under pressure, their style, their track record, how they prepare for each practice as well as the entire season, their ability to adjust during an event, etc. If the coaching prospect rates lower than 70% on your wish list, he/she, may not be the best coach for you. Tip Use your inner circle to prepare the appropriate questions

24 PILLARS OF PILLAR #3 Execute your plan Although hard work is essential to reach our dreams, your efforts must be in alignment with your dream and fueled by you plan. Now is the time to get serious about every aspect of you and your dream. Review your dream each morning and once more before you go to bed each day. Make your pages defining your commitment and accountability available. Unlocking your Greatness. Make it NOW! The first step to the unlocking your greatness is to recognize that your greatness resides within you. Always has. Always will. Whether you are building your plan for the first time, or are creating a new plan for another dream, belief in yourself is the first step to achieving. 25 PILLARS OF PILLAR #3 Human Potential Your human potential is your foundation that fuels YOU on your journey. Focusing on either your strengths OR weaknesses, will help you achieve modest results, however, when you consistently develop both areas of your game and life, you will rise to the top of your class. List your strengths that make you unique and demonstrate a high belief in yourself. (ie: An athlete s passion for his sport) Tip Be honest and fair with yourself - perhaps members of your inner circle can offer suggestions.
26 PILLARS OF PILLAR #3 Human Potential List your weaknesses that require your attention, and, when addressed, will positively impact your journey to reaching our dreams. (ie: An athlete recognizes she needs to devote time to a specific skill in her sport) Tip Be honest and fair with yourself - perhaps members of your inner circle can offer suggestions.
27 PILLARS OF PILLAR #3 Effort Although hard work is important, FOCUSED work is the key to reaching your dreams. Select any 2 strengths and 2 weaknesses from the lists above. Share your findings with your inner circle and identify who, within your group, would be best suited to help you improve these strengths and weaknesses. Tip - Ask questions such as, Who has developed in areas such as these?
28 PILLARS OF PILLAR #3 Effort Using the tools in Pillar 1, clearly identify what you are committed to, and how you will keep yourself accountable to developing both strengths and weaknesses. (ie: share your plan with all members of your inner circle)
29 PILLARS OF PILLAR #3 Results and Belief System - Proof is in the pudding Developing your strengths/weaknesses in alignment with your plan, while remaining focused on your dream, will produce world-class results. As your belief system grows, so will your belief in YOUR human potential, which positively impacts your human potential formula, and thus, setting off the momentum needed to reach your dreams.. 30 PILLARS OF PILLAR #3 Research - Success leaves clues Select 3 people who are at the height of success in the area you want to achieve in.
31 PILLARS OF PILLAR #3 Study and research these individuals Record as much information as possible about each person. The more you learn, the better equipped you will be along your journey. Be thorough and pay attention to the details, such as; What makes them unique, their place of birth, challenges they overcame, what they do/did to be a leader in their field, who was their inner circle, etc?
32 PILLARS OF PILLAR #3 What similarities do you have with these individuals? How does this research help you?
33 PILLARS OF PILLAR #3 Emotion vs. Inspiration Sport, like life, can be very emotional. The key to achieving success is remaining inspired in the face of the emotion. To find inspiration, read your dream each morning and night, as well as anytime when you feel frustrated, sad, fearful or guilty. When were you inspiring? When were you inspired?
34 PILLARS OF PILLAR #3 Leadership You Although you depend on leadership from your inner circle, and your coaches (see coaching selection on Pillar 2), YOU must also demonstrate leadership in your life. Refer to participation and contribution in Pillar # 2, and identify 2 ways you are demonstrating NEW LEVELS of leadership within AND away from our sport
35 CONGRATULATIONS, YOU HAVE SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED YOUR FIRST JOURNEY THROUGH THE PILLARS OF. You are: Dreaming. Planning. Executing Choosing YOUR greatness is YOUR choice!
