3 EVENT INFORMATION Watford s Big Beach and Screen th July 29 th August 2016 Concept: Watford s Big Beach and Screen will be the ultimate combination of the Big Beach, the Big Screen and the classic British beach experience. The Parade will be a bustling hub of local families, residents and businesses all enjoying the fun of the seaside in the centre of town, supported by a programme of entertaining and educational events. 4 EVENT INFORMATION Watford s Big Beach and Screen 2016 Giant 30sqm+ top of the range, LED outdoor cinema running for 31 days Showing over 30 screenings of blockbuster, classic movies and children s movies Screening the Olympics 2016 from Brazil Turning Watford into Watford on Sea with lots of sand, beach huts and Beach activities such as sandcastle competitions and Fun Fair activities Children activities of every kind on the beach Capacity of 1,000 visitors per screening 30,000 expected to attend Pop-up restaurant and a beach bar 4

The beach will appear with sand extending from the screen and to the pond to create Watford s very own lagoon in the heart of town. 5

Pitches are generally 3 x 3 m and inc water and power although all infrastructure can be sourced additionally inc tents, staff, risk assessment, health and safety, build crew and promotion if required.
