3 1. Instructions This connection enquiry form gathers the information ElectraNet requires to progress an application for connection to the South Australian transmission network and the National Electricity Market (NEM). Before you complete this form, we recommend you take take the time to understand the connection process and have early conversations with our Business Development team, to receive appropriate advice for your situation. The team is here to help and would welcome a chance to discuss how we can help deliver your project. Process There are three key stages to the transmission network connection negotiation process: this initial connection enquiry; the formal application to connect, and the final transmission connection agreement. The information provided through this connection enquiry form will allow ElectraNet to prepare an estimated scope and fee proposal for the work required to investigate the application to connect and prepare the offer to connect. ElectraNet s response will be in accordance with clause of the NER. If we have received enough information from you to process your connection enquiry we will write to you within 10 business days to advise how we will progress your application. If further information is required, we will write to you within five business days outlining what additional information we need, and then write to you within a further 10 business days to advise how we will progress your application. Notes The connection enquiry form has two parts, connection requirements relating to entry points (generation assets) and connection requirements relating to exit points (direct connect assets). Please only complete the section that relates to your type of connection application. It is ElectraNet s responsibility to determine the transmission connection method. If you have a specific request this will be considered and examined in this process. The selected method will be based on the overall least cost and technically feasible solution, unless you request otherwise or we require an alternative method for system reasons. Definitions and terms used in this form can be found in chapter 10 of the National Electricity Rules. Contact To have a confidential discussion about your project, the transmission connection process or how to complete or submit any of the associated forms, please contact our Business Development team. Tel: connection@electranet.com.au Security Classification: Public Page 3 of 8
