2 KIDS CAMPS The Kids Club Summer Camp is a state-licensed program. Summer day camp offers a fun and positive environment, action-packed agenda, enrichment activities, and satisfied kids at the end of the day! With a different theme each week, campers will have plenty to do. Playing a variety of sports, recreational activities, conducting science experiments, art projects, learning about nature, and water activities at the Boar s Head Sports Club pool are just a few of the activities we offer. Eight full weeks are available this summer. 3 JUNIOR TENNIS CAMPS Join us for a great summer of tennis June 6 - July 29! QuickStart Camp Ages 10 and Under The QuickStart tennis format works by getting kids into the game immediately. Within the first hour of stepping onto the court, kids are actually playing the game, rallying with one another, moving around, and having fun. Kids who have played before are challenged with an ever increasing playing surface and balls that progress towards a standard ball. Junior Camp Ages The Junior Camp provides beginning players with the opportunity to get introduced to the game of tennis while intermediate players will hone their skills and learn concepts that allow them to progress to the next level. Academy/Team Tennis Camp Ages 9-18 In Academy Camp, participants will work on advanced stroke techniques, shot selection and point development. The Team Tennis Camp exposes participants to point play and match situations. Participants in this camp show a desire to play competitive tennis at a high level. The best first touch program to effectively teach the game of golf to people of all ages and ability levels. SNAG Golf offers the versitility to learn and play in almost any environment you choose. 5 SUMMER CHILDCARE When you need to focus on your golf swing, perfect your tennis serve, visit Charlottesville s shops, or relax at our spa, the Boar s Head Sports Club childcare providers will keep your little ones entertained. Our goal is to provide a safe, healthy, and stimulating environment that will encourage your child s social, emotional and mental development. Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. $7/hour/child Saturdays 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. $7/hour/child Siblings are charged at half of original prices. Reservations for our state-licensed childcare facility are accepted up to 48 hours in advance, with a maximum of four hours per visit, in an attempt to meet all member and guest needs. We ask that cancellations be made 4 hours in advance to avoid charges. BHSC Childcare is licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia allowing parents to leave the property with the required paperwork on file. KIDS NIGHT OUT PROGRAM Drop your children off in a safe, structured environment while you catch a movie, grab a bite to eat, or just enjoy a nice evening of peace and quiet! The event runs one Friday each month from 5:00-8:00 p.m., and the cost is $20 per child. Activities include a pizza dinner, gym games, a movie, and a structured activity centered on a monthly theme! 6 SWIM TEAM Boar s Head participates in a Charlottesville-area summer swim league for ages The season runs Monday to Friday from mid-may through the end of July. Registration opens April 15, and practices begin the week before Memorial Day. Swim team participation provides excellent swim training and conditioning for your child in an enjoyable, team-oriented program. Swim team events include an ice cream social, a team bowling outing (ages 12 and under), a trip to King s Dominion (ages 13 and up), a pre-championship meet BBQ, and an end of the season dinner and awards ceremony. TEAM PRICING $185 for the first child & $165 for each additional child SWIM MEETS All Meets begin at 6:00 p.m Schedule is TBD Boar s Head swim team is open to Boar s Head Sports Club members. 7 local junior camps Join our squash coaching staff for fun and expert instruction on the squash court. No experience is necessary and all equipment can be provided (though participants must have their own nonmarking shoes). The time on court is filled with age appropriate squash activities. Camp Dates are TBD SQUASH Set Up your Own Class If you have a small group, between 4 and 8 juniors, we can set up your own private summer class. One-hour instruction each day, 4 days a week, for a class of 4 juniors, can cost as little as $100 per person. Contact Mark for more information.
