Our club promotes and cultivates the fusion of Chinese and Malaysian drums. At the same time, opportunities are provided here for students to expand their social network and enrich their college experience. Besides, student can improve their physical fitness and mental health together during practices. ACG Research Club ACG Research Club provides a platform for anime lovers to socialize. It is a relaxing club. In here, you will get to know other anime lovers, participate in activities together, build up a strong relationship, cultivate your self-esteem, and make your university life wonderful in so many ways. Business Association Xiamen University Malaysia Business Association (XMBA) is a business-oriented club for the students of all majors. Our primary objective is to cultivate critical thinking, foster leadership skills and stimulate teamwork. To contact us: us at careerclub@xmu.edu.my today! Cheerleading Club Acrux, Xiamen University's very own cheerleading club has been formed in May 2016 and is a team with both boys and girls. This coed team has taken part in competitions such as the Charm Cheerleading Championships and Cheer Nationals which are held every year. Chinese Debate Society Chinese Debate Society is established to provide a training ground for the development of student s communicative ability. We encourage our students to voice out their opinions and be confident in speaking. We also provide opportunities for students to practice and develop their skills, which will give students more advanced knowledge on debating. We offer a challenging and rewarding debate experience to highly motivated and hardworking undergraduates. We aim to help students develop critical and strategic thinking skills. Chinese Literature and Creative Writing Society Chinese Literature and Creative Writing Society is established to provide a platform for interested students to engage in creative writing and to encourage and increase the level of creativity in student literature. For this purpose, our society has planned a series of activities, including Chinese Literature Study Circle, Creative Writing Workshop, Literature Columns, Chinese Literature Camp, Publication of students' literary works, Seminar, Chinese Literature Week, and Learning Creative Writing through movies. Students would be able to develop professional literature reading skills, spirit of independence and aesthetic ability through these activities.

3 Chinese Society Chinese Society provides a platform for students to get in touch with Chinese culture. We aim to promote the traditional Chinese culture by running different kind of activities. Through these activities, we hope to build a strong bond among members. Dance Club Xiamen University Malaysia Dance Club was established on 4th April Here, we provide a space where people can learn to dance. Whether you have been dancing for years or just want to give it a go, Dance Club is just the society for you! We held several activities such as annual show performance and flash mob so that people had the chance to perform and gain confidence. Our members are currently learning Hip-Hop, instructed by our friendly teacher Simon Tan. It's never too late to join. Those who are interested in and passionate about dance please feel free to join us. "Feel the rhythm and groove your body, dance till the end of the world." Diabolo Club Diabolo Club is set up to promote and develop the art of playing diabolo, which is one of the most popular heritages of Chinese Culture. The purpose of this club is to prepare our members to perform at formal as well as informal public events. Through these public performances, our members will gain self-confidence as well as learn how to work with others. Additionally, an experienced coach will be engaged to help members master the diabolo skills. Drama Society In Drama Society of Xiamen University Malaysia, we wish to bring out the best from our members in several fields including acting, directing, script-writing, producing, and designing lighting/props/costumes. We focus on the process of production and not only on skills onstage. XMUM Drama Society currently has two experienced teachers who conduct lessons to improve members performances. Over the course of the academic year, we wish to produce the first play and develop members creativity into a real production. We are also going to have outdoor learning sessions to strengthen the bond among members. We will have activities on every Wednesday (7.00pm-9.30pm) at G02. We are eagerly looking forward to having more young forces join our club and find out the true potential of yours. English Society The English Language Society of Xiamen University Malaysia aims to increase the English proficiency of students in this university. We exist to provide a platform for students from all courses and backgrounds to boost their confidence and ability to communicate effectively and excellently in English. Over the course of the academic year, we plan to host various English-related activities including debates, discussions, plays, off-campus excursions, social gatherings as well as several other events, all of which give students opportunities to communicate in English. Besides that, enrichment classes will also be held for those seeking to improve their English, both in-campus and off-campus. We believe that English should not be a stumbling block for anyone and that everyone has the ability to excel in this language. Feel free to

4 join us and be a member of the family! EPICS Society EPICS is set apart as a place for young people's leisure time activities and community services. The activities and support from club leaders and volunteers allow young people to learn new skills and build confidence and resilience for the future, as well as have fun. The aim of EPICS is to provide opportunities for the development of young people so that they can achieve their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials. The society welcomes all young people regardless of their background, circumstances, and beliefs. First Aid Society First Aid Society provides a platform for interested students to gain knowledge of first aid. Our society promotes an active interest in First Aid within the Xiamen University Malaysia. The society focuses on training and developing well qualified first aiders. Furthermore, the society provides first aid service within Xiamen University Malaysia. Football Club Football club provides a platform for members to gain more knowledge of football. Our club promotes and cultivates members awareness of football. It aims to enhance members football skill and communication skill. Besides, we hope to create and foster the feeling of friendship among our member. We are constantly seeking to attract members at all levels. J-Voice Club (Journalism Society) J-Voice Club (Journalism Society) provides a platform for journalism students and non-journalism students to gain more knowledge of journalism. Our clubs also promote and cultivate students understanding of what journalism is and what its impact to the whole society is. We also hope that through the club s activities, we are able to enhance the well-being and responsibility of journalism students. Moreover, we help our members to create a sense of community among themselves. Korean Language Society Korean Language Society aims to broaden the knowledge of Korean culture and society. We encourage members to have an interest in learning Korean language through interesting methods as well as to enhance and sharpen their Korean language skill. Then, we hope this society will be able to unleash the creativity and talent of our members. Through organizing activities, we will also develop our members' leadership and communication skill. Law Society As part of our commitment to informing the community about the law and legal profession, the Law Society of Xiamen University Malaysia supports a number of initiatives of our students. The main focus of the organisation: a) To provide a platform for interested students to gain more knowledge of law;

5 b) To promote and cultivate students awareness of legal issues locally and internationally; c) To enhance general well-being and welfare of students; d) To create, foster and maintain a feeling of friendship amongst students and to create a sense of community amongst them. Visit the Court Magic Society Magic Society provides a glimpse into the magic world and a platform for magicians to perform. Math Club Math Club is a club filled with exciting and fun math. It is a must go place for all math lovers. We will do math games, puzzles, and some math questions in the club. Being shy or weak in math isn't an excuse for not joining us, as we firmly believe math can be learn through time and patience. Martial Arts Club Martial Arts Club provides a platform for members to gain more knowledge of different types of martial arts. Our club promotes and cultivates members awareness of martial arts. It aims to enhance the self-defense skills of its members and the fitness of their body. Besides, we hope that we manage to gather people with martial arts skills in our university in order to let them share experiences among themselves. Movie Club Movie Club aims to provide a platform for students who are interested in movies, to enhance the relationship between Chinese and Malaysian students, and to improve the culture of movie in this campus. No matter who you are, here is a heaven for you once you have a movie dream, and you are warmly welcomed. Our main activities include movie appreciation, workshop for screenplay writing, film director sharing session, short film competition, and theme movie festival. EVERYONE IS A DIRECTOR. 6 Music Performance Club We're a group of people passionate about playing and learning music. Every week we have activities such as music instrument classes and band jamming. The instruments that we provide for XMUM students to learn are guitar, drum, piano, and violin. We also have vocal practices. Don't be afraid if you have no musical background as we can help you learn the basis of the instrument of your choosing. And for those interested in playing music on stage, feel free to join our band practice sessions with your friends. We provide space and time for you to practice and an opportunity to perform on stage. So if you're interested in learning or playing music, feel free to join us! Photography Club XMUM Photography Club (XMUMPC) was founded in 2016 to bring the art of observation to the university. This is a student body that specialized only in photography. We carry the responsibility to enhance student experience through photography. In order to encourage students to use photography in expressing their creativity, we organize various creative photography related activities and events. We make sure that our classes/workshops, photography trips, and competitions will help to increase students interest towards photography. Besides, we do events shooting and photo editing for any student activities at the campus. Photography is like a moment, an instant. Come and join us as we take you on a journey filled with fun and enjoyment, while learning skills of practicability that you can apply in your future career! Student Affairs Activity Association A merger between Student Affairs Department and Activity Association, whose main task is to organize all kind of events. We focus on the self-development and benefits of our members. Swimming Club This is a club that provides many opportunities for its members to discover and enhance their abilities. Come and join us now! Our Trainer or coach will teach and guide all the beginners to learn all four swimming styles (breaststroke, freestyle, backstroke, butterfly) as well as help them to achieve their swimming goals. 7 Travel Club We are the travel club of XMUM. To travel around Malaysia with the greatest pleasure has always been our first priority. We will provide a platform for students and teachers of XMUM to travel across interesting places in Malaysia. We will travel to anywhere, mountains, forests, rivers, valleys, sea and islands! By travelling, we believe we can relax our minds and bodies, chase away all the pressures, welcome new knowledge and new friends, foster and maintain a feeling of friendship amongst students, and appreciate life more. Ukulele Club Ukulele club enables people to develop their ukulele skills in a welcoming environment. It also provides a platform for all ukulele lovers to interact and have fun.
