28 LITURGY The Mass of John Paul II was specially written for these celebrations by Prof. Henryk Jan Bator. Carefully prepared place for celebration: altar, pulpit and presiding place. The symbols of WYD, the cross and the icon of the Mother of God, must also have an important place. The liturgical service is made up of young people coming from various countries. Introduction of eastern tradition liturgical elements at the proclamation of the Word of God. Preparation for distribution of holy communion. Appropriately prepared teams that can help take care of details of the liturgical celebration in the given place of catechesis.

52 Registration of participants of World Youth Day Krakow 2016 is taking place through the filling out a special registration form available in five languages: Polish, English, Italian, French and Spanish. on the website: or: The corresponding INSTRUCTIONS on the subject of registration is also available.

53 Pilgrim Registration takes place in groups we are organizing: MACROGROUPS and SUBGROUPS of Pilgrims

54 The suggested age range of participants of WYD is Episcopal Conferences and Movements, Associations and Communities can set a different age range for young people participating in WYD within their organization. Group leaders must be persons who are 18 years of age and older.

55 Group registration consists of two phases: Phase 1 registration of MACROGROUPS (max people); Phase 2 division of registered MACROGROUPS into SUBGROUPS (max. 150 people in each) In a given SUBGROUP everyone must choose the same type of Pilgrim s Package and the same language of catechesis. You can also register an international group, or one composed of pilgrims from different countries, who want to participate in WYD together within one group.

56 Information needed for registration: Phase 1 MACROGROUP The group leader of a macrogroup ought to prepare the following information (his/her own and that of the second group leader of the macrogroup): - First and Last Name; - Date of Birth; - Type and number of identity document; - Address of residence; - Contact phone number; - address. Registration of Phase 1 MUST end within 30 minutes from its launch (otherwise it will be necessary to start filling out the form again).

57 Phase 2 SUBGROUP: The group leader of a MACROGROUP, forming a SUBGROUP gives its name, the first and last name of the group leader and their address. The subsequent stages of registering SUBGROUPS is done by the group leader of the given subgroup.

58 Specific questions concern: - Group leader of a subgroup and the second group leader (the group leader of a MACROGROUP can also be a leader of one of its SUBGROUPS); - Priests data should be entered with each priest from the group together with a scanned letter signed by a Bishop or his Delegate (a letter format can be downloaded in the system); - Number of minors (a special form should be downloaded for each of them) and those over the age of 30; - Disabled people for each person you should fill out a specially prepared form, which will ease the reception of this group of pilgrims; - People requiring a visa for each person there is a need to fill out a specially prepared form; - Means of arrival in Krakow and of departure at the end of WYD.

59 Each group will be assigned an individual registration number, which from this moment will be used as the group identifier in all contact with the Organizing Committee of WYD in Krakow and with the Pontifical Council for the Laity, particularly in the case of payment. Changes in the group form are possible only up to the moment of beginning the payment procedure. All later changes will require launching a special Re-Opening of Form procedure. Registration and payment must be made at the latest by June

60 After paying the Participation Fee for the Package, the Group Leader (or Second Group Leader) will be able to print a VOUCHER which must be presented upon arrival in Krakow at the check-in point indicated on the voucher (they will then receive pilgrim kits together with materials for their group).

72 VISA For pilgrims who will need a VISA, in order to come to WYD a special Visa tab has been prepared in the registration system.

73 Steps for applying for a visa: a) for each person that needs a visa to come to Poland, during Phase 2 of registration under the Visa tab one should fill out the proper form providing detailed information; b) after entering data into the form the system generates the appropriate LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION, which you should print out; c) The LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION should be endorsed in the appropriate church organization in your country (it should be signed and stamped by a Bishop or his Delegate);.

74 . d) 3 months before the planned arrival each person attempting to receive a visa must individually fill out the proper visa application online in the e-consulate application on the page: The application is registered in the database after its completion and is automatically sent to a designated respective consulate. e) on the date designated on the application there is a need to go meet with the consul, who verifies if the person applying for a visa meets the criteria it sets out, on the basis of a request and additional submitted documents. f) up to 15 calendar days from the moment of submitting the complete set of documents, if the application is approved, information will be sent about the date of receiving the visa.
