11 Annual Weather Emergency Memo Provides information and guidance in the event of severe winter weather Notification via organization mass notification: WARN, Everbridge, etc Posted to DLA Land and Maritime Website Call (TDD also) Listen to local Radio and Television 11

12 Installation Evacuation Plan Listen for and follow instructions from Mass Notification or Police Established colored zones to help facilitate orderly exit from the center. Primary and Alternate Routes Traffic Control Points will be established and support will be requested from Whitehall and Columbus PD Parents with children in CDC must have the Orange CDC Hangtag Car and Van Pools must plan now to meet at the vehicle. Will not be able to cross zones Plan is posted on Public Safety SHAREPOINT Patience will be a must 12

18 Wide Area Rapid Notification (WARN) Automated Notification System Quickly relay emergency messages to associates Can contact multiple devices (voice, text messages, s, fax, etc) Process Each Directorate appoints WARN Administrators WARN Administrators update contact info in WARN for their personnel Associate Responsiblities Inform WARN Administrators whenever contact info changes Highly recommended you provide multiple contact devices List of WARN Administrators available at: \\use\data1\command\d_external\coop Team\WARN\WARN Administrators.xls 18

19 Continuity of Operations (COOP) DLA Land and Maritime COOP Planning Plan to continue mission essential functions during emergencies Includes use of alternate work facility and telework Primary alternate work facility located on the Installation Identifies Emergency Relocation Group (ERG) members ERG personnel may be required to work from an alternate work facility during a COOP emergency Each directorate maintains a current roster of ERG members ERG Member Responsibilities Maintain a fly away kit Paticipate in annual COOP relocation exercises 19

20 Building Evacuation Associate Actions During Evacuation Remain calm, take your CAC and evacuate IAW posted plan Once outside, report to designated assembly area Follow directions from PA system and Unit Fire Marshals (UFM) Do not use elevators If in heavy smoke, take short breaths and crawl until you reach the closest exit or stairwell In high rises, merge with other personnel in stairwell and remain in single file using the CENTER, continuous handrail. You can pass slower associates as long as you return to single file and contact with the center rail. Do not take food or beverages in stairwell Remain Quiet Reenter building when All Clear is given. Show CAC to UFM upon reentry. 20

21 Building Evacuation Mobility Impaired Guidance Wait for Emergency Personnel in designated area In danger is apparent (bldg 20), buddies should escort mobility-impaired into stairwells. They provide a 2-hour safety zone from fires. Trained emergency response personnel will evacuate mobility-impaired.
