This is a multiplex device which incorporates the temperature monitoring and control device, USB 2.0 hub, and USB 2.0 all-in-one card reader. This assembly can support the early warning and protection functions for the hard-earned data, arrange the commonly used hub and card reader functions over the same place, and significantly increase the space utilization. Meanwhile, the temperature of three different main component parts can be easily monitored and controlled, and totally three sets of the heat dissipation fans corresponding to the assembly can be controlled. Chapter 2 - Main Functional Characteristics Functional Characteristics: Each temperature sensor has its own heat dissipation fan. 3 LCD backlight screen colors for selection. The control buttons can be used to set various functions and rotation speed. Three sets of fans (Maximum Output Power of 18W) supported. The rotation speed (RPM) of three sets of fans and the temperature of their corresponding components can be monitored and controlled at the same time. USB 2.0 all-in-one card reader supported. 3-port USB Hub supported. Sockets for the microphone and speaker extension line designed. All connected fans do not necessarily operate at the same time. Channel 2/ HDD= Monitor and control HDD temperature and control HDD fan. Channel 3/ SYS= Monitor and control SYS temperature and control SYS fans. Automatic Fan-Activating Temperature: Channel 1(CPU): 65 C/149 F Channel 2(HDD), 3(SYS): 45 C/113 F Warning Signal: Activation: a beep sound Pulling out of any fan or sensor: Repeated beep sound The rotation speed of any fan is lower than 250 R.P.M.: Repeated Beep sound To Disable Warning Function: Press any key to stop the beep sound Status Display Function: To display whether any device or memory card is inserted into the USB hub and card reader. Recovery of Default Settings: Enter the setting interface, select "def" option, then press and hold down the SET button for 3 seconds. 4 Manual_Page 4 Chapter 3 - Installation Description Important Notes: We suggest that you read the step and default settings (see above) in this User Guide carefully in advance in order to fully understand the installation method of this equipment for obtaining maximum efficiency. (We strongly suggest that you complete installing all accessories first before fixing the panel body.) 1. Connect the Power Supply Cable: Connect the 4-pin Molex connector to the power supply unit (PSU) by using the attached power supply cable (4-pin Molex connector/4-pin floppy disk drive type female connector), and the other end is connected to the LCD panel circuit of SUPER PANEL. This power supply has been particularly designed so that it can be connected only in proper way. 2. Connect the Temperature Sensor: The sensor should be placed on the plane or location at where the temperature monitoring and control should be taken (e.g. upper surface of hard disk drive). Place the sensor into this device, and the connection should be taken based on the order of the sensor itself in order to prevent the occurrence of the error (Both ends have been marked before shipping).

5 Manual_Page 5 3. Connect the Fan: Each connector has three different colored wires: red, black and yellow. The red wire is used for power supply (+12 VDC), the black wire is for grounding (GND), and the yellow wire is used for speed detection. All connectors for fans are labeled for indication of the connection position. Although only one direction could be applied for connection between the fan and its connector, the accuracy of the connection location should be still confirmed. If the duplex wire type fan is used (not including speed sensing line), please find out the location of the ground wire first, because the ground wire is usually black in color. 4. Connect the Hub and Card Reader: The internal connection wire dedicated to USB is used. One end is connected to the circuit board of SUPER PANEL body, while the other end is connected to the backend of the PC, or the internal USB PORT of the mother board. (This connection wire has been particularly designed so that it can only be accurately connected.)

6 Manual_Page 6 5. Connect the MIC & SPK Audio Extension Socket: The dedicated audio extension line is used. One end is connected to the circuit board of the SUPER PANEL body, while the other end is connected to the audio-in port (MIC& SPK) located at the backend of the PC. In general, the green color is for SPK, and the pink color is for MIC.s. 6. Installation of the SUPER PANEL Body: The wire connection of the whole set is now completed. Please slide the SUPER PANEL into any open external 5.25" disk driver slot, and use the enclosed screws to tighten it, which is just like installing any other 5.25" device.

7 Manual_Page 7 Chapter 4 - General Introduction of Use LCD: 1. Display Function: Three-color cycle and setting are supported. For more information about the method of setting color, refer to the following description. 2. FUNCTION: Function keys are primarily used to switch between the CPU, SYS and HDD channel displays. When entering the setting mode, it can be used for the next selection option. 3. UP/ DOWN: The Up and Down keys are used to speed up or slow down the rotation speed of fan. They are used for increasing/decreasing the setting when entering the setting mode. 4. SET: This is a setting key. Pressing it can switch between the C (Celsius) or F (Fahrenheit) temperature display, and its display range is from 0 C (32 F) To 90 C (194 F) ±3%. When entering the setting mode, you can immediately enter the setting mode after pressing this key for 3 seconds. Use the FUNCTION key to select the desired items being set; and use UP/ DOWN key to increase or decrease the value. You may also go back to the display status by pressing it for 3 seconds after the completion of setting. 5. Adjustment Function: User can adjust the rotation speed of fan used over each channel in accordance with the personal preference, and enter the setting mode to set the upper and lower limits for the temperature detection of the buzzer. 6. Memory Function: The SUPER PANEL is equipped with memory for saving the settings.

8 Manual_Page 8 USB Hub and Card Reader: USB Hub: The 3-port USB connection ports are compatible with the USB 1.1& USB 2.0 devices. When the device is plugged into the connection port, the LCD display unit will display its status. Card Reader: (For more information about the driver installation, please refer to the enclosed CD-ROM) Reading and writing into most common memory cards on the market are supported. Similarly, when any memory card is inserted, the LCD display unit will display its status.
