3 VENUE Palazzo dei Congressi Pisa Via Matteotti, Pisa, Italy The Pisa Palazzo dei Congressi with its distinctive semicircular shape and terraced gardens, was opened in 1984 and over the years has hosted a large number of scientific, cultural, commercial and sports initiatives. The presence of the University of Pisa provided economic, cultural and social development to the congress center and has certainly given a major impetus to its activities. Thanks to its architectural features and close proximity to the city s historical centre where you can find the Leaning Tower and Piazza dei Miracoli, the Pisa Palazzo dei Congressi constitutes an important complex, situated in a particular attractive part of the city between Lungarno Buozzi and Viale delle Piagge.

4 THE CITY Pisa is located in the Tuscany area in central Italy. Although it is known worldwide for its Leaning tower (the bell tower of the city s cathedral), the city is home to a number of architectural treasures. Lying on the banks of the Arno, it conserves precious architecture and the memories of its glorious past as a Maritime Republic during which time the city became an invincible maritime power and a capital of fundamental cultural importance. It also gave birth to illustrious names like Galileo Galieli, and the celebrated mathematician Leonardo Fibonacci. Etruscan settlement, Roman city, a medieval commercial harbor, a powerful Maritime Republic, a bitter enemy of Florence, Lucca and Genoa, a magnificent noble city in the 17th century, a host town for many artists in the 19th century, an excellent University town in the last few centuries and home to some of the most prestigious Academies in the world: these few lines make it evident that Pisa is definitely much more than a bell tower, albeit a very beautiful one. How to reach Pisa There are direct flights to Pisa from London, Paris, Madrid, Bruxelles, Barcelona, Frankfurt, Prague, Munich, Lisbon, Bucarest, Berlin, Tirana, Malta, Marrakech, Istanbul, Valencia, Bari, Rome, Cagliari, Catania and Palermo. The city is also accessible by train from Genoa (2 hours), Rome (3 hours), Milan (4 hours) and Venice (5 hours). 10 EXHIBITION INFO The exhibition will take place at the Palazzo dei Congressi, Via Matteotti 1, Pisa Italy on the 24th 27th May 2017 in the occasion of the 28th EURAPS Meeting. Exhibition spaces (available in units of a minimum of 6 square metres) are provided as bare floor space (3x2m) and are to be paid to Eurotraining S.r.l. The cost of the exhibition space is 500,00 (22% vat excluded) per sqm and it includes: electricity supply, one table and two chairs. For all stands, the structures and fittings are at the Exhibitor s care and expense. Exhibition spaces will be provided on a first come first served basis. Space rental also includes: company logo listed as an exhibitor on the exhibition & sponsors pages of the Meeting website company reference as an exhibitor in all Meeting literature 2 Free Exhibitor passes Each exhibitor must complete the Exhibition/Sponsor Booking Form that is to be requested by to the Organizing Secretariat mail@eurotraining.it. The exhibitor will then receive a contract including the floor plan where the exhibition booth will be indicated. Exhibition space will be provided on a first come first served basis. Exhibitors wishing to avoid being assigned space adjacent to that of a particular competitor should indicate this on their application.
