7 Customer Success Guide PerfectSense Paraffin Protocol 1) Preparation: Setup Heater Pouch and paraffin gloves/slippers (don t pour AromaVapor activator yet) 2) Activate Aromatherapy and heating of system (with AromaVapor solution) by pouring solution into Heater Pouch. 3) Optional: Perform a type of exfoliation (i.e. scrub, enzyme) while experiencing AromaVapor treatment. This will remove the resistive, dry layer of skin so that the hands and feet are able to absorb and utilize the nourishing vitamins infused into the paraffin. 4) Optional: Add any condition-specific topical, serum, cream or oil directly on the hands while the client is experiencing AromaVapor treatment. Paraffin works as an occlusive mask and drives any topical deep into the skin. 5) Once AromaVapor subsides remove gloves/slippers and place on porous surface (e.g., treatment extenders or a towel) as the treatment will cool too quickly on a non-porous surface (e.g., marble, tile, glass, and metal). 6) The liquid paraffin in each glove/slipper should be patted out and distributed in the glove/ slipper so that the distribution when applied onto hands/feet is even. For best results, elevate cuff end of glove/slipper, and distribute liquid paraffin evenly on a flat surface with free hand. 6) Client will break through sanitation seal. Place PerfectSense gloves/slippers on the client s hands and/or feet. Slide hand or foot all the way into finger wells/boot. Cup one hand underneath the wrist or behind the ankle to prevent liquid paraffin from flowing out. With your other hand, press liquid paraffin from fingertips/toes over the top of hand/foot towards clients wrist/ankle. You can see the liquid paraffin flood over the top of the hand/foot. Next, flood the paraffin inbetween fingers and around cuticles. 7) Optional: for more value press your fingers deeply on muscles in hand and foot while paraffin is liquid and before it forms a mask. 8) Let client relax and enjoy the warm heat and aromas for a minimum of 10 minutes for full heat and hydration and so paraffin becomes well solidified and performs its role as a mask. For best results, keep client from moving fingers around and breaking paraffin allowing for the paraffin to create an occlusive mask. There is no maximum amount of time to leave treatment on. Treatments have been known to be left on overnight in the take-home kits with fabulous results! If client comes out before paraffin is solidified, result will be slightly oily and may need to blot. 9) To remove PerfectSense Paraffin Treatment, simply push around the wrist to break paraffin mask and ask client to wiggle fingers or foot in treatment. They will feel the paraffin mask separate from their skin, and you can pull glove/slipper off from the hand/foot without mess! Virtually all the paraffin will remain in the micro-taffeta finish on the inside of each medicalgrade gloves/slippers. Dispose of in proper trash receptacle. 11) Optional: Use (oil-based or silicone) post treatment. Paraffin seals and protects the skin from the drying elements of air and water. (Water-based treatments are repelled by the paraffin and do not adhere well). The benefits of paraffin will last a minimum of 24 hours, or until the client washes with a harsh detergent (i.e., dish soap, shampoo, etc.) With regular use, healthier skin will result. 17
