What is a globe? Learning Targets: Students will be able to Understand what a family is and why it is important. Understand why we have rules at home and at school. Understand why we go to school. Look at a globe and locate water and land mass.

Learning Targets: Students will be able to Recite their complete home address. Describe characteristics of their own home. Identify the different school rooms visited during the week. Locate items on a simple map. Locate land and water on a globe. Associate various weather conditions with the corresponding seasons.

Monitor their daily behavior with chart of classroom rules. Create a word web reflecting the characteristics of a good citizen. Participate in the voting process. Assume various leadership roles in the classroom. Identify certain national symbols and what they represent; recite the Pledge of Allegiance.
