ABOUT THE JOB You will be responsible for the development and administration of efficient sustainable business systems software, using web and database technologies. You will also define standards and provide leadership and management of software and systems development projects. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Development and management of the Museum s specialist web and business applications, including websites, Intranet, databases, and other specific purpose built applications, under the direction of the Online Services Manager and in line with Museum policies and industry best practices. Undertake complex systems analysis and design and programming, testing and production of database environments, expert problem solving, monitoring data integrity/redundancy and security of software applications and products to meet both business and technical requirements. Develop, document, implement and review standards, procedures and systems to promote and maintain software quality of all application development undertaken, to ensure that Queensland Museum, whole-of-government and industry standards are adhered to.

2 Develop web and multimedia resources that efficiently and effectively contribute to the role and reputation of the Queensland Museum as an authoritative provider of knowledge and information about Queensland s natural environment and cultural heritage. Provide high level advice to the senior management in relation to solutions to complex business problems that require the application of business systems technology. Support and conduct training courses/sessions for Museum staff in their use of business systems as required. Maintain an extensive working knowledge of current and emerging software development technologies and trends to improve the Museums business operations. Monitor the standard of service provided by contractors of installation and maintenance agreements. Proven ability in information system project planning, development and implementation. Manage and supervise staff within a working environment supporting quality human resource management practices including employment, equity, anti- discrimination, occupational health, and safety and ethical behaviour Contribute to the safety culture of QMN by reporting all incidents and hazards and ensuring work is undertaken in the safest way possible, following all QMN WHS policies/procedures and guidelines relevant to the job. Undertake all relevant responsibilities identified in the QMN WHS Accountabilities and Responsibilities Matrix. Technical Demonstrated experience in working with the following technical skills while ensuring business and technical requirements are met: ASP.NET (C#), JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XSLT and SharePoint. Sitecore development background, multimedia design and PRINCE2 accreditation are highly desirable.
