Added section on cultural and political conflict resolution Fundamentals of Human Communication Intercultural Communication Examines the role culture plays in interethnic and international communication. Critiques stereotypes and increases cultural sensitivity. Developed syllabus, examination materials and lecture consulted in preparation of standardization of course for all instructors Media and Cultural Studies This course provides students with a theoretical and methodological background in the interdisciplinary field of cultural studies, which considers media and culture as sites for the construction and contestation of race, class, gender, ethnicity, sexuality and nation. Expanded course to include empirical methods in addition to cultural studies approaches Business and Professional Communication Focus on written and oral communication skills needed to interview successfully confident public speaking, organization, preparation of presentations and group communication Added section on diversity and globalization, assignment on virtual interviewing and presenting Consistent course evaluation rates of above 4.5/5.0
