2 Dear sailors! On behalf of the St.Petersburg Yacht Club and all Russian sailing community let me welcome all the teams in our beautiful city. This is the first season that the SAILING Champions League stages the Qualification Act and our Club is happy to be among the pioneers of the League movement that is fast growing every year. With support of the Gazprom Company, SAP, SailTracks, and the League professional we aim to make this Act one to remember. 3 St.Petersburg Yacht Club Established in 2007 St.Petersburg Yacht Club focuses on all-round development of sailing in Russia. The Club s activities cover both competitions and training programs for sailors of different ages. St.Petersburg Yacht Club has an active event calendar throughout the year across national and international events for youth, Olympic and Grand Prix racing.
4 The history of the SAILING Champions League and the idea behind it. In 2013 the consulting and holding company «Konzeptwerft» in Hamburg did revolutionize the sailing sport: For the first time the clubs did sail in a competition against each other in a National Sailing League. This enthusiasm was transferred to the whole sailing community, to the regional and nationwide media. Now the most successful sailings clubs compete against each other for a whole season in several events in the SAILING Champions League. The idea is simple: The cup of the national champions. The most successful clubs of the countries with a National Sailing League are competing against each other in several events during the year. At the end the winning club is may call itself, the «Best Sailing Club of the Year». Short races, standardized boats, a standardized course and a competition between the best and prestigious sailing clubs in the world guarantee sailing as its best!

10 POLTAVA REPLICA TOUR Visit to full-scale replica of the Poltava sailing ship. The construction shed of Poltava ship is located next to the regatta venue. The Poltava was the first ship of the line in the regular Russian Baltic Fleet. She embodied the glorious victories of Peter the Great s times. In 2012 there was a decision to reconstruct the ship in a full-scale. Now the construction shed and workshops are open for guests.
