3 A S S E M B L Y TOOLS REQUIRED FOR ASSEMBLY wrench for M6 hex nuts wrench for M8 hex nuts Phillips screwdriver for M4 screws CHEST AND CABINET CONNECTION: ASSEMBLY SIDE HANDLE ATTACHMENT: Note: Holes in the cabinet are tapped requiring no nuts for installation. Side handle should be mounted on the same side of the cabinet as the swivel casters. Release screws from two back cornerstays of the cabinet. Attach the side handle using M6 hex screws. Tighten the screws with wrench. CASTER INSTALLATION: Note: Use adequate manpower for this operation. Lay the cabinet down on its back. Use packaging material to protect the surface. Mount both swivel casters on the same side and both rigid casters on the other side. Attach each casterr using four M8 hex screw per caster. Fasten screws to the chest through two back corner stays after placing chest on cabinet, in order to avoid chest easily tipping over. Wrench tighten all screws. Return the cabinet to its upright position. 3

4 O P E R A T I O N / M A I N T E N A N C E OPERATION TO REMOVE DRAWERS AND WORK TOP: Empty the drawers. Pull drawer / work top out so it s almost fully extended. Push up right hand black release lever, while pulling down left hand black release lever. While holding the levers in the positions as instructed above, pull the drawer / work top outward until it is released from the drawer slide. PUSH UP (RIGHT HAND SIDE) TO USE HOOKS: Step 1 Step 2 PUSH DOWN (LEFT HAND SIDE) Step 3 TO REPLACE DRAWERS AND WORK TOP: Extend the drawer slides from the tool chest. Insert the brackets on each side of the drawer into the slots in the cabinet slides, being careful that they are properly in position. Once properly inserted, completely close the drawer / work top to set the slides in their proper positions. TO USE WORK TOP: Push the front of work top to open. MAINTENANCE For casters, use high quality bearing grease (annually/yearly). Lubricate the slides (twice a year). Lubricate with graphite (twice a year). Periodically the drawer fronts, drawer trim, and other surfaces should be cleaned with mild detergent and water. Auto wax will preserve the storage unit s luster finish. Apply the wax as you would to a car. The wax will also help protect the unit against scratches. Grease and oil can be removed with most standard cleaning fluids. For safety, use a nonflammable cleaning fluid. 4

5 S A F E T Y SAFETY The load capacity of the side handles used on all 26 and 41 chests is 500 lbs. when used in tandem. DO NOT attempt to lift, by the side handles, the 26 and 41 chests using chains, ropes or other lifting devices if two persons cannot lift the chest. Use a forklift placed under the bottom of the chest if this situation occurs. The side handle may fail, which may cause personal injury or damage to the product. DO NOT stand on this product or lean on work top. WEAR SAFETY GLASSES when removing or repositioning the slides. The tool could slip which may cause personal injury. When moving this product, do not pull it. Push the product to prevent personal injury. USE THE BRAKES when not moving this product. This will prevent the product from rolling, which may cause personal injury or product damage. BE CAREFUL when opening more than one drawer. The product may become unstable and tip, which may cause personal injury or product damage. DO NOT mount this product on a truck bed or any other moving object. This may cause personal injury or product damage. Secure this product properly before moving it with a forklift. DO NOT tow with power equipment. The product could tip, which may cause personal injury or product damage. DO NOT alter this product in any manner. For example, do not weld external lockbars or attach electrical equipment. This may cause product damage or personal injury. Keep the product on level surfaces. The product may become unstable and tip if stored or moved on an un-level surface, which may cause personal injury or product damage. When the cover is opened, be sure the cover stop is in the locked position. This will prevent accidental closure and personal injury. BE CAREFUL when closing the cover. Remove hands before the cover closes completely to prevent personal injury. The maximum weight for each drawer should be no more than 34 kgs (75 lbs.) The maximum product weight, including contents, should be no more than 507 kgs (1,120 lbs) for roller cabinets. The maximum weight for worktop should be no more than 45kgs (100 lbs). Close the cover and lock the drawers before moving this product. The drawers could come open and make the product unstable and tip, which may cause personal or product damage. Remove the work top rom the roller cabinet before mounting the chest. Failure to do so may cause the chest to slide off, which may cause personal injury or product damage. IMPORTANT: Do no attach or mount this product to a vehicle. Mounting this product to any vehicle in any manner will void warranty. IMPORTANT: To avoid chest easily tipping over, fasten the screws to connect the chest and cabinet. 5
