DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES SPECIFIC TO THIS POST: Key Areas Activity Planning; Liaisn; Supervisin and Care f Children; Direct Playwrk. Activity Planning 1. T prvide a safe, creative and apprpriate play pprtunities fr a range f age grups 2. Preparing activities, rganising prgrammes/ themes and arranging equipment; 3. T ensure that all activities are inclusive fr all children t take part in; 1

2 Liaisn 1. T help t develp and maintain gd relatinships and cmmunicatins with parents/carers t facilitate day-t-day caring needs; 2. T encurage parental invlvement and supprt thrugh the develpment f effective wrking relatinships; 3. T cnsult with the children and invlve them in the planning f activities. 4. T share gd practice with ther schl staff as needed, Supervisin and care f children 1. Ensure that activities are carried ut in a safe and respnsible manner in accrdance with statutry respnsibilities; 2. Ensure that risk assessments are cmpleted prir t cmmencing activities with children; 3. Ensure that fd preparatin and handling within the Setting is carried ut within the guidelines f the Fd Safety Act 1990; 4. Where fd is prvided, t ensure that it is balanced and healthy in accrdance with recmmended dietary requirements; 5. T actively prmte and supprt the safeguarding f children and yung peple in the wrkplace, ensuring that all staff and vlunteers bserve Setting plicies and prcedures t keep children safe frm harm.
