2 Introduction Thank you for choosing healthy alternatives for your Halloween Party this year! If you re expected to throw a gathering for your family or the little ones in your life, these recipes will support you in keeping them truly nourished and excited about what s being served. We ve put a Young and Raw spin on traditional Halloween recipe ideas so that no one has to feel left out at the snack table. Refined, processed, sugary and high fat foods are the cause of many of the health problems and behavioral issues our youth is faced with today. Over the past few years, we have spoken with many men and women, mothers, fathers, and grandparents who shared their tips for keeping their families healthy. One of the things they could all agree on fully, was that their children began to flourish in every way when they started feeding them more real, whole and unprocessed foods. In removing chemicals, processed ingredients and unnatural foods from the household, you are allowing for more positive growth to occur in you and your children than ever before, on a mental, emotional and physical level. At Young and Raw our hope is that you will feel empowered by making healthier choices, and in turn you will inspire others to follow in your food steps. 3 Halloween Punch! 4 Large Carrots (not the tops) 2 Green Apples For a sweet, juicy recipe, use 50% carrot & 50% apple through your juicer or strain through a veggie bag after blending. Size of recipe depends on how many guests you will have. If you have experienced juicers, you can use more carrot than apple, and even add in some lemon, parsley and ginger!

4 Caramel Apples 20 Medjool Dates 6 tbsp. Raw Almond Butter 6 tbsp. Maple Syrup Pinch of Himalayan Salt *optional Pit your medjool dates if necessary for easier blending. They should be soft before you process them. Once soft, add the dates and all other ingredients and process or blend until you get a thick, gooey caramel sauce. Roll your apples and set in the fridge to let the caramel topping harden OR simply serve the caramel in a bowl with apple slices for fun, delicious finger food!

5 Chocolate Mousse 4 Ripe Avocados 6 tbsp Fair Trade Cocoa or Carob Powder 10 Dates (turned into date paste in blender with water) 2 tbsp Maple Syrup 2 pinches of Himalayan Salt Blend the dates with a bit of fresh water as a paste and set aside with the maple syrup for the sweetener. Blend all other ingredients and slowly add in your sweetener with taste tests in between to reach the desired sweetness for your taste buds.

6 Sugar Bugs 20 Medjool Dates 5-10 tbsp. almond butter Mixed nuts or carob chips *optional Purchase soft, organic medjool dates. Pit them with your hands and gently scoop almond butter into the middle. As an option you can stuff mixed nuts, fruit or carob nibs inside!

7 Pumpkin Butterscotch pudding 1/2 cup pumpkin puree (use real pumpkin if you can) 1/2 cup young thai coconut meat date paste (5 dates + 1/4 cup water and blend to a paste) 1 tsp. pumpkin spice 2 tbsp. maple syrup 2 tsp. vanilla pinch of himalayan salt Blend your ingredients in a high speed blender until smooth and creamy. Serve in bowls or cups and sprinkle with cinnamon before serving.

8 Pumpkin Spice Seed Milk 1 cup pumpkin seeds 1/2 tsp. pumpkin spice 4 medjool dates, pitted sprinkle cinnamon on top Wash your pumpkin seeds and add to your blender with 3 cups of water. Add in your pitted medjool dates and pumpkin spice and blend until seeds are broken down. Strain with a nut milk bag over a bowl 3 times and then serve sprinkled with cinnamon. This recipe is delicious warm, or chilled.

9 Monster Brains Mac n Cheeze 1/2 Small Red Pepper 3-4 Sun-dried tomatoes 1/2 Cup Raw Cashews 1 tbsp. Nutritional Yeast 1 tsp. Garlic Powder 1 tsp. Onion Powder 1/2 tsp. Chili Powder 1-2 Pinches of Himalayan Salt Use a spirooli or veggie peeler to thinly slice zucchini noodles, set aside. Soak cashews for 4-8 hours and strain. Then, blend all of your ingredients until warm and creamy. Stir in with zucchini noodles. Optional: Garnish with chopped, walnuts and fresh herbs like dill or basil.

10 Goblin Guacamole & Spooky Sticks 3-4 Medium Sized Ripe Avocados 1-3 cloves of diced Garlic 1/4 of a small bunch of chopped Cilantro 1/4 teaspoon Onion Powder 1/4 teaspoon Cumin 1 tablespoon Spirulina Powder 1-2 Pinches of Himalayan Salt Pit and slice avocados in a bowl, add all of your ingredients and gently mash with a fork. Mix until you have the desired texture and serve with chopped celery or spooky sticks.

11 Just like Fries Delicata Squash Rings 2 Delicata Squashes 1/4 tsp. celery salt 1/2 tsp. garlic & onion powder *optional 1 tbsp. coconut oil Cut the ends off your squash and scoop out the insides. Slice into thick rings and place on a baking sheet at 350 for about 30 minutes. Sprinkle with seasonings and a touch of coconut oil & serve just like fries!

Remember, eating an abundance of fresh fruits, veggies, nuts and seeds is all it takes to integrate more vibrant, living foods into your life.
