10 Ogden Museum of Southern Art On Saturday, March 12, the Ogden Museum of Southern Art presented a Free Family Day from 10 AM to 2 PM, designed to inspire children and adults to discover the rich visual culture of the South. This free admission day, entitled Exploring the Mastery of Marie Hull featured art activities and performances inspired by the prolific career and stunning work of female artist Marie Hull. Events and activities were geared towards children of all ages. 374 people attended this program.
11 The Rockwell Museum Marketing collateral materials included images featuring a wide range of diverse women and girls of varying ages. The program featured two storytellers of color (Ronnie Reitter of the Seneca Wolf Clan and Vicie A. Rolling, an African American teaching artist). The Museum utilized the contact databases of our storytellers in order to spread the word within their already-established communities. On social media, we reached out to youth centers and Girl Scout troops with information about the program. In addition to funding from the National Endowment for the Humanities, we received funding from Corning Incorporated Global Diversity and Inclusion. We included the funding information in our marketing to demonstrate backing from a prominent proponent of diversity in our region.
12 Antique Automobile Club of America Museum HotRod Jen gave a special presentation at 2 p.m. on Pinstriping and Automotive Art and also conducted a Pinstriping Demonstration. The Museum was able to broadcast the event live via their Periscope social media platform.
