2 Lesson (1) Web site concepts Web site: is a web page or more linked together under a certain name. And the Name of the web site called URL. Web page: an electronic document published on the internet, to be viewed through the internet browser programs. Like: ( Firefox Google chrome Internet explorer ). Home page: the main page of the web site, through it you can navigate to any page of the web site and called "Main page". Web site elements: - - Texts - Pictures - Videos - Hyperlinks Static and interactive web page:- - Static web page:- - Display information to view only. - The visitor cannot make processors on the content of the static web page. - Use HTML commands in the design of the static web page. - Dynamic web page:- - Called interactive web page. - The visitor can make processors on the content of the static web page. - Use HTML commands as well as other language such as java script and php in the design of interactive web pages.

3 Lesson (2) Design and create a web site Design and create a web site 1. Planning to build web site. - Drawing the pages of web site on the paper. - Select the data And information in each web page. 2. Web page design of the site. - - The design of form of the main page and the pages of the site. - - Identify the different formats for web pages, such as background and font size and color and kind, places text mode. - - Determine the hyperlink of the main page. 3. Preparation and processing of web pages. - Preparation and processing the text. - Preparation and processing the pictures. - Preparation and processing the sound and video. 4. The stage of implementation of web pages. - Convert the previous stages to web pages by using any programming language. Like (HTML PHP Java script) and add the (text images voice video). - Create hyperlinks web site by using HTML. 5. The web site publishing online. - Store a title of the site. - Allocation of storage space for the site. On a server hardware. - Publish the site over the internet.

4 Lesson (3) Creating and processing audio files - There are many programs which are used in dealing with audio files. - Audacity program: that contains a set of tools that enables the user to create audio files is easy. - Audacity software is characterized by the following:- 1. Free software and open source. 2. Runs on windows operating system, Linux. 3. Support the Arabic language. 4. The possibility of direct recording of the voice inside. 5. Easy interface in the deal. 6. The possibility of cut and paste of audio files. 7. Adding a different of effects on the sound. 8. Import and export the sound in different formats. Setup and processing the software:- - Make sure you install the software and connect the microphone and speaker to your computer. The steps for creating an audio file:- 1. Preparation and processing, to create an audio file. 2. Implementation to create an audio file. 3. Modifying the sound 4. Export the audio file. How to open audacity software:- - Download (running) software. 1. Click on the start menu. 2. Select audacity. The audacity window components:- 1. A list of transport for audio recording. 2. The toolbar. 3. Editing bar. 4. The volume control. 5. The control bars in the units enter the votes. 6. Time tape (timeline) to see the audio tracks and handling. 7. The beginning and the end of the selection.

5 Start recording sound:- 1. Press record button. 2. Using the microphone-mic, reading the text you want to record. 3. Audio format shown, in chronological taps block is called (wav pattern). 4. To stop recording.press the stop button. Add effect on the audio:- To add the effect Repeat to the clip (part) of the sound. 1. Press the play button to select the audio clip, which you want to add effect (Repeat). 2. Click on the select tool (I) on the toolbar. 3. Click and drag using the red pointer on the time line. 4. Open effect menu 5. Select repeat. 6. The dialog box repeat will appear. 7. Select the number of times - Preview: Review what has been done. 8. Press ok To add reverse effect:- 1. Press the play button to select the audio clip, which you want to add effect (reverse). 2. Click on the select tool (I) on the toolbar. 3. Click and drag using the red pointer on the time line. - Or: press (CTRL + A) to select all sound clip. 4. Open effect menu. 5. Select reverse. To add (Change pitch) effect:- 1. Press the play button to select the audio clip, which you want to add effect (Change pitch). 2. Click on the select tool (I) on the toolbar. 3. Click and drag using the red pointer on the time line. - Or: press (CTRL + A) to select all sound clip. 4. Open effect. 5. Select Change pitch. 6. Select the appropriate audio frequency options, and press ok.

6 To add (Amplify) effect:- 1. Press the play button to select the audio clip, which you want to add effect (Amplify). 2. Click on the select tool (I) on the toolbar. 3. Click and drag using the red pointer on the time line. - Or: press (CTRL + A) to select all sound clip. 4. Open effect. 5. Select Amplify. - Enlarge Amplify sound we use a unit called decibels (db). 6. The dialog box appears. 7. Select option ( amplification audio) 8. Click ok. To add (Echo) effect:- 1. Press the play button to select the audio clip, which you want to add effect (Echo). 2. Click on the select tool (I) on the toolbar. 3. Click and drag using the red pointer on the time line. - Or: press (CTRL + A) to select all sound clip. 4. Open effect. 5. Select echo. 6. The dialog box appears. 7. Change the delay time in seconds. 8. Click ok. Undo added effects:- 1. Open edit menu. 2. Select undo Cut and paste sound clip (transfer). - Cut audio clip. 1. Select the sound clip you want to cut. 2. Open edit menu, select cut. - OR: press (CTRL + X) from the keyboard. 3. Put your mouse pointer to required place to paste the voice clip. 4. Open edit menu, select paste. - OR: press CTRL + V from the keyboard. Cut and paste sound clip (transfer).

7 - Copy audio clip. 1. Select the sound clip you want to cut. 2. Open edit menu, select Copy. - OR: press (CTRL + C) from the keyboard. 3. Put your mouse pointer to required place to paste the voice clip. 4. Open edit menu, select paste. - OR: press CTRL + V from the keyboard. Delete audio clip:- 1. Select the sound you want to delete. 2. Open edit menu, then select delete. - OR: press delete from keyboard. Export audio files. 1. Open file menu 2. Select export audio. 3. Export audio dialog box will appear. 4. Select the location. 5. Select the appropriate file extension (Wav MP3). 6. Click save button. Types of audio files extensions:- - Among the most famous sound files(mp3 WAV) Audio file (WAV):- - A high quality and purity. - Inappropriate for publication for the internet. - Large storage capacity compared with MP3. Audio file(wma):- - Top quality and purity of the MP3. - Supported by some operating system and programs for audio processing. Audio file ( MP3):- - Less purity compared with (WAV). - Comact size (Small storage). - Appropriate for publishing via web site.

8 Create and manipulate videos Open shot - Programs of creating and processing video files. - Software which enables the user to create and edit video and audio files. - There is a lot of program, to creation and processing of video files such as kdenlive and open shot. - Open shot is free open source software. - Open shot program works through the system windows and Linux. - Movie maker software to process video files, works through the operating system windows. The advantages of program(open shot) 1. Support many formats and formula (extensions). 2. Contains many video transitions. 3. Many of ready-made setting. 4. Thea ability to make zoom for video. 5. The ability to change the movement speed. 6. Rescaled-sections. 7. Multiple tracks. 8. The possibility of drag and drop sections on the timeline. 9. Integration with several interfaces. Download (running )open shot:- 1. Open start menu. 2. Select open shot. The program window:- - Interface open shot program, simple and easy to use consists of the following. 1. Main toolbar:- - It contains button for opening, saving, and export the program. A. New project B. Save project C. Undo D. Redo E. Import files. F. Export files. 2. Project files:- - Containing pictures sound and video that have been import into the project.

9 3. Function tabs:- - To move between the project files (image files sound files) and the selection transitions, and effects. 4. Preview window:- - To see what has been done. - It contains:- A. Skip to beginning. B. Rewind. C. Play/pause D. Fast forward. E. Skip to end. 5. Edit toolbar:- - It has a set of tools to separate and edit sections. - It contains:- A. Add track. B. Select mode. C. Razor mode. D. Resize mode. E. Snap mode. F. Add marker. G. Previous marker. H. Next marker. 6. Zoom slider:- - For modifying in the time line. 7. Play head / ruler:- - Ruler to measurement the show time. - The red line is the play head, view the current clip. 8. Time line:- - A representation eye of a public project. - Appear the clips, images and sounds that have been added to it in the form of yellow rectangles. Steps to create a video scenes:- 1. Import image files within the program. - The first way: - drag and drop images to the program. - The second way: - open file menu and then click on import files. - The third way: - using import file tool in the main toolbar. 2. Arrange and organize photo on the timeline:- - Click on the image and drag to the project files.

10 - Put the images in track. Then arrange them according to priority displaying. - Order the rest of the photos in the tracks on the timeline. 3. Import audio file within the program. - The first way: - drag and drop audio files to the program. - The second way: - open file menu and then click on import files. - The third way: - using import file tool in the main toolbar. 4. Video preview:- - Press the play button. Steps save video:- - From main toolbar. 1. Open file. 2. Select save project as. 3. Select the location. 4. Select the name of the project. Close creation software and video processing. 1. Open file. 2. Select close. 3. The extension of open shot project is (sch). Edit video scenes:- - When previewing the video scenes (sound with image) and period of time may be greater than the period of time images during playback. Control of the time period to view images with sound:- (When choosing keep left slide) 1. Move the read pointer by clicking on the head with drag even up to the last place on the timeline. 2. Stand the mouse pointer on the sound track and press right click. 3. From the shortcut, select slice clip. 4. Then choose keep left slide. 5. Divided clip that is on the track into two slices (keep left slide) and delete the slide on the right. (When choosing keep right slide) 1. Move the read pointer by clicking on the head with drag even up to the last place on the timeline. 2. Stand the mouse pointer on the sound track and press right click. 3. From the shortcut, select slice clip. 4. Then choose keep right slide. 5. Divided clip that is on the track into two slices (keep right slide) and delete the slide on the left.

11 (When choosing keep both slide) 1. Move the read pointer by clicking on the head with drag even up to the last place on the timeline. 2. Stand the mouse pointer on the sound track and press right click. 3. From the shortcut, select slice clip. 4. Then choose keep both slide. 5. Divided clip that that is on the track into two slices left and right. Add effect to the video scenes:- Steps to add effects:- 1. Click on the effect tab. 2. A set of influences will appears, named (effects). 3. Click on an effect with drag and drop (add) on the video scenes. 4. Effect symbol, appears on scene video. - To read name of the effect, point your mouse on effect symbol. - To delete the added effect on scene the video: 1. Press right click on effect icon 2. Select remove effect. Add transitions to video scene:- 1. Press on the transitions tab. 2. A set of transitions will appear. 3. Click on a transitions with drag and drop on the video scenes. 4. Control of the time period to view the transitional period by clicking and dragging them. Add text to video:- 1. Select the desired text added to the video. 2. Locating adding texts (in the beginning of the video/between the video/end of the video). 3. From title menu select title. 4. The dialog box will appear. 5. Fill out the dialog box data. 6. Save the text file in English. 7. Naming the text file in English. 8. Shows the text file in the project files 9. Drag the text file from project file and drop it on the time line. Export video to file with appropriate extensions:- - Open shot has several extensions such as (AVI MP4 ) - We can export video file by the following steps:- 1. Click on the export video button from the main toolbox.

12 Or 1. Open file menu, select export video. 2. The following dialog box will appear determine the:- - File name: select the name of the file. - The folder path: where the file is stored (select the location). - The target: select the video file type. - In quality: select the level of quality of view. (High definition- average- poor quality) - Click on the export video button. Play the video file:- - Press the button(play)located in the preview window

13 HTML (Practical Exam) Hypertext markup language 3. HTML: is the coding language used to create fixed web page. 4. The extension of html file is (HTML or HTM). 5. HTML is short for the term: hypertext markup language. To create awe page using HTML command you must follow these basic rules. 1. Create a text file using text editor (note pad or word pad), to write HTML command. 2. Command is placed between the markers"< >". 3. All orders tags written from left to write. 4. Per tag particular job is doing. 5. The formula<tag> is the beginning of the tag. 6. The formula</tag> is the end of the tag. 7. Most of commands have a beginning "< >" and the end of </>. 8. Is not required to write commands in big letters "Capital" or small letters. 9. Open the saved files using an internet explorer to view the web page and see the result of their implementation. 10. When the program is running, the browser automatically interprets HTML commands. - HTML languages are not linked to an operating system. - HTML languages are not linked to a computer. - HTML language that does not show error message during the work. The structure of building a web page using HTML. - <HTML> All content of the page</html> - <HEAD>Top of the page</head> - <Title>page title</title> - <BODY>Page content</body> HTML code divided into two main sections:- - Head: area for writing the information to the browser on the page, such as title of the page. - Body: area for writing web page content.

14 The structure of building a web site:- <HTML> <HEAD> <TITLE> The title of the page </TITLE> </HEAD> <BODY> Writing web page content </BODY> </HTML> Type HTML commands:- 1. Download a text editor or (running). 2. Write the structure of building a web page using HTML command. 3. Type <head> tag to display the information of the page</head> 4. <title> type the title of the web page.</title> 5. <body> to type the content of the page</body> 6. Save the file and to save the file open file menu, select save. Or - Press CTRL +S from keyboard. 7. Determine the location. 8. Determine the name of the web page then put dot (.) and type the extension of the page HTML or HTM. 9. Open web page through the internet browser. Change the direction of the page:- - The default direction of the content from left to right. - You can change the direction of the web page through the <dir> tag. - To change the direction from right to left type <body dir= rtl >. - To change the direction from left to right type <body dir= ltr >. Web page formats:- - There are two types of formats:- 1. Formats applied to the text of the web page. - The writing of a new line. - Text alignment - Put spaces between words. - Font formats in terms (its kind size color font style). 2. Formats applied to the background of the web page. - Change the background color of the page. - Put background image of the web page.

15 Write the beginning of a new line:- - Command uses <br> writing on two lines or more. To put spaces between the words:- - Type and to make three spaces type - To repeat distances, must repeat it the number of spaces required. To alignment of the text centered:- - Type <center> text you want to centered</center> To change font type Color Size:- - <font face= font type >the text</font> - <font color= green >the text</font> - <font size= 5 >the text</font> ( the maximum number of size is 7 and the minimum size is 1 ) To change font style ( Bold Italic underline):- - <b> the text</b> it means the style of the font is bold. - <u> the text</u> it means the style of the font is underline. - <i> the text</i> it means the style of the font is italic. Change the background color of the page to become red:- - Type <body bgcolor= red > To change the background image of the page:- - type < body background= image name.extension > Notice:- we must save the picture in the same folder of the web page. Insert an image in the page:- - <img src= image name.extension > - To change the dimensions (height width) and determine the alignment of page type the following tag. - <img src= image name.extension height= 200 width= 200 align= middle > - The following values from alignment property. - Align= right - Align= left - Align= middle - Align= bottom - Align= top Insert sound as a background to the web page:- - <bgsound src= sound name.extension > Insert a video into a web page:- - <embed src= video name.extension > Insert hyperlink to web page in the same web site:- - <a href= page name.extension >hyperlink text</a>
