2 Welcome to February 20 th - 24 th 2016 Enjoy an event designed to build business relationships with fellow X2 members while in a secluded and peaceful Bangkok location that also allows for easy access to all of what Bangkok has to offer. For newer members who will be attending this as their first X2 Conference, please take advantage of all the opportunities offered by gathering with a large majority of world markets as well as learn more about the network. For those who have already attended our previous conferences, this conference will be bigger and better than before. Just as with the new members to the group, we also want you, our senior membership, to experience the true eliteness of X2. The X2 Pre-Conference Guide provides delegates with the information that will help prepare for the 2016 X2 Annual Conference and assist them in making the most of their attendance. 3 Arriving Most delegates will be arriving directly from their place of origin the below sections detail transportation and also provide some information about Suvarnabhumi Airport. Airport and Ground Transportation Suvarnabhumi Airport is located about 25 kilometers east of central Bangkok. There are multiple modes of transportation to and from the airport, however, as a conference attendee we have arranged for a limo service to transport you to your hotel. Conference attendees that have provided X2 with their arrival itinerary will be provided with limo transportation from the airport to their hotel. Due to the transportation arrangements, there is no need to hire a taxi, take a bus, or use the Airport Link for transportation from Suvarnabhumi International Airport. 7 X2 World Cup Last year, members had the unique opportunity to meet and bond as teams over the X2 Amazing Race and Som Tam Challenge. This year, the X2 World Cup is going to be one of the highlights of the X2 Conference that members will not want to miss. The X2 World Cup is a great opportunity to grow relationships with new and familiar members, outside of working areas, in a more relaxed environment. Everyone is encouraged to get involved and show their talents on the football pitch or support from the sides with an ice cold beverage in hand. On February 20th registration for the X2 World Cup will start in conjunction with a social night for members participating in the X2 World Cup to meet with one another. 8 Conference Preparation To prepare for the conference, we have included information about the dress code, registration, weather, and promotional materials. Dress Code (IMPORTANT) The overall dress code of the 2016 X2 Conference is Smart Casual/Business Attire. For events such as the 1:1 sessions, members should also dress in Business Attire. For the night of the Cocktail Reception (21st February), attendees should dress Summer Smart Casual as the Cocktail Reception will be held near the Chao Phraya River. For the night of the Gala Dinner (23rd February) we will be asking everyone to wear formal attire. This should be considered a black tie (evening gown for females) event. 9 Conference Registration On the opening day, and the following day, of the 2016 X2 Conference, registration will be open from 09:00 until late. This has been arranged in a way that is convenient to members who will be arriving early on the opening day. Registration will be available at the hotel starting from 09:00. Following registration on the first evening, the X2 World Cup Social Night will unfold. Delegates and their guests will be able to enjoy drinks, snacks, and the company of their fellow attendees while also receiving their Football Kits/Jerseys for the X2 World Cup. Also, February is in the dry season and is often regarded as the best time to holiday in the area. The average temperature for February is a pleasant 27 C with average high and low temperatures of 22 C and 32 C. 11 Promotional Materials Conference materials such as promotional brochures and giveaway items can be sent to Bangkok in advance and X2 will then deliver materials to the conference venue on behalf of the members. Important Notes The deadline for member conference materials to reach the X2 Logistics Networks office is Wednesday, 10 February 2016 (10 days prior to the first conference related event).
