2 SLIDE WY SLIDE WY he B slide way is a non-recirculatin linear motion bearin utilizin precision rollers. It is used primarily in optical and measurement equipment where hih precision movement is required. iure G- Structure of V type V type rail iure G- Structure of SV type SV type rail SRUURE D DVGES he B slide way V type comprises precisely round rails and R-retainers with built-in SUDROLLERs and precision rollers. he rails have been optimally desined so that the SUDROLLERs move smoothly, and the SUDROLLERs and precision rollers incorporated in the R-retainers enable slip-free operation between the raceway surface and the rollers resultin in motion with minimal frictional resistance. SV and SVW types consist of precision round rails and precision caed-rollers. Since caed-rollers do not recirculate, there is only a minimum frictional resistance fluctuation. lso, there is a minimum difference between the static and dynamic frictional resistances. on-slip! SUDROLLER System (Rivet Roller Structure) he SUDROLLER system is based on a new concept to provide complete prevention of roller cae slippae durin operation. his system permits usae in all orientations and positions. iure G-1 SUDROLLER System end piece SUDROLLER R-retainer o the V type, fastenin plates are attached for the purpose of maintainin the center position of the R-retainer before assembly. Suitable for Minute Motion Because the frictional resistance is extremely small and there is only little difference between the static and dynamic frictional resistances, the B slide way is well suited for minute motion, resultin in hihly accurate linear movement. Low-Speed Stability Since the frictional resistance fluctuation is small even under low-load conditions, stable motion is obtained at from low to hih speeds. Hih Riidity and Hih Load apacity ompared to the ball elements, the rollers provide a larer contact area and less elastic deformation, thus the B slide way has hih riidity and hih load capacity. With new V rail desin, the roller contact area is increased by 0 to % (iure G-). he number of effective rollers is increased by narrowin the roller pitch. hus, the V type has the load ratin that is 1. to. times that of the SV type. When the stroke of SV type or SVW type is chaned, the stroke lenth must be determined and the load ratin should be re-estimated as follows. Make sure to relubricate with a similar type of rease periodically accordin to the operatin conditions. B also provides low dust eneration rease. Please refer to pae En-9 for details. Dust Prevention orein particles or dust in the slide way affects the motion accuracy and shortens the life time. In a harsh environment please provide side covers for dust prevention. Set the table in the center position, and tihten the adjustment screws lihtly so that almost no ap remains. Be sure to handle the product with care. he V type is packaed as a set of rails and R-retainers. Do not separate or disassemble until assembly/installation is completed. Precision is not uaranteed if disassembled. astenin Plates or the V type, fastenin plates are attached at both end faces of the rails to maintain the R-retainer center position prior to assembly. he fastenin plates are not required after the V type is mounted to a table and bed, however, when removal of the V type is necessary such as when it will be reassembled, be sure to return the R-retainer to the proper center position, secure the fastenin plates with the end pieces, and then remove the V type. Specified llowable Stroke or the V type, exceedin the specified stroke (overstroke) shall cause the raceway surface of the rail to be damaed and the performance of the SUDROLLER to drastically deteriorate. Use as a Set he accuracy of the rails has been matched within each set. ote that the accuracy will be affected when the rails of different sets are combined. llowable Load he allowable load is a load under which the sum of elastic deformations of the rollin element and the raceway in the contact area subject to the maximum contact stress is small enouh to uarantee smooth rollin movement. When very smooth and hihly accurate linear motion is required, make sure to use the product within the allowable load. ae Slippae or the SV/SVW type, the cae can slip under hihspeed motion, vertical application, unbalanced-loadin, and vibratin conditions. It is advised that the stroke be set with sufficient marin and an excessive preload should be avoided. It is also recoended that the rails be cycled to perform the maximum stroke several times, so that the cae returns to its central position. End Pieces End pieces are attached to each end of the slide way to prevent removal of the cae. Do not use them as a mechanical stopper. Knock Pin Hole When usin SVW type knock pin holes to attach a slide way, please do the hole-machinin on the mountin surface after attachin the W type rail. fter machinin, remove the chips completely and wash as required.
