You will notice on the top right on most slides I have a page number referencing the Cookie Manual that you will receive once you view the Mandatory online training and fill out the training confirmation form. 1

2 Join us for our annual Cookie Kickoff at the Rockford Ice Hogs Arena. This event is held to excite and encourage girls for the upcoming Cookie Program. There are many activities for girls of all levels. Families are welcome to attend as well! The event will be held on Saturday, December 3. The registration deadline to guarantee the patch and giveaway is Tuesday, November 1. Registrations will be accepted until Tuesday, November 9. Registration is open now! 2

3 Troops are encouraged to host a booth during the first weekend of Booth Sales on Friday, February 24 through Sunday, February 26 to celebrate National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend! 3

4 Troops are encouraged to get excited about NGSCW by creating a special booth poster and enter it into our contest! Troops create and use their poster during National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend. First Troops should submit a photo of their poster and then a photo of the poster being used at their cookie booth. Go to the GSNI website, find the Cookies+ tab, and submit on the Contests page. Entries will be accepted Friday, February 24-Wednesday, March 1, In addition to the two photos, entries must include the date, time and location of the cookie booth. You will also need to include the contact name, your troop number, and number of girls in the troop participating in the poster creation and/or at the booth. Winning posters will be chosen by GSNI staff. Winning troops will be contacted directly and announced on the GSNI website the week of March 20. 4

5 In celebration of the 100 th anniversary of the first known sale of cookies by Girl Scouts, GS-USA is excited to offer the Cookie Troop 100 Challenge! One lucky troop from each council will win $100 towards their Take Action or service project. That means 112 troops nationwide will receive $100. One VERY lucky troop will win $3000 to super power their project. Troops can participate in 4 easy steps: Setting a troop goal, Earning a Cookie Business badge, Asking 100 NEW customers to buy cookies, and taking a picture of your Blinged Booth. 5

6 Let s discuss exactly how the contest works. Once all 4 steps are completed, the troop leader or volunteer fills out the entry form online. The entry form is available from January 3 through April 30. The troop leader enters the details on the Cookie Troop 100 activities. She then submits the entry to unlock the Cookie Troop 100 patch. This will allow her to purchase the patch for $1.00 each and have it shipped to her. Winning troops will be randomly selected no voting is necessary! A more detailed flyer is posted on the GSNI website. 6

7 GSNI is offering a Cookie Bake-Off Contest! Girls will be challenged to create their own original dessert using any Girl Scout cookie variety sold by GSNI. First round competitions will be hosted by participating Service Units between March 1- April 30, If a second round is necessary, these will be selected by GSNI staff using photos, recipes and judging card information from the SU competitions. A maximum of finalists will present their creations to a judging panel at Super Seller-bration on Saturday, June 3, GSNI will provide cookies for the finalists recipes. Each finalist will be able to participate in Super Seller-bration activities and receive an award. First, second, and third place will receive ribbons. The Finalists recipes will be shared at the 2018 Cookie Kick-off. Encourage your Service Unit to participate! 7

8 5 for Five is back again! Girl Scouts can incentivize their customers by offering a 5 for Five raffle voucher to customers who buy 5 or more boxes of cookies. The customer uses the raffle voucher to go to the GSNI website to enter themselves for a chance to win 25 boxes of cookies. Four winners will be randomly selected from the entries. Cookie customers that receive a raffle voucher, they must complete their entry by Friday, March 24. Winners will be randomly selected the week of April 3 and contacted directly to arrange to pick up their cookies at the nearest Service Center. Parents and girls can print out their own raffle vouchers. A page of these raffle vouchers is available in the Appendix of the Cookie manual and will also be available on the GSNI website. 8

9 Your vote counted! Each year GSNI sends out a survey in May to get feedback for rewards for the next Cookie season. Based on the cookie rewards survey results these items were chosen specifically by our girls in GSNI! 9

10 Here are the rewards we are offering this year for our girls! Girls can choose if they want to take a trip to Disney World or to New York City! And new- sell 3,000 boxes of cookies and the girls an additional day on their trip. Please note: the items in the xxx box are non-cumulative. So for example, if a girl sells 2000 boxes of cookies, she will earn the Apple watch and all the rewards pictured on the order card through the level, but not the reward choice at the 1250 and 1500 levels. 10

11 The Volunteer tab of the Little Brownie Bakers website provides volunteer inspiration, trainings, and ready to go resources. The resources include: an Interactive Cookie Season Planner, a Booth Guide for Volunteers, Cookie Videos for Girls, a Cookies 101 guide for families, the Cookie VIP etraining, and new Troop Cookie Games. 11

12 On the Girls tab there are a lot of fun activities for the girls to do. There are craft ideas, selling tips, ideas to Bling out your booth, videos and games! Little Brownie makes it fun and easy to engage girls from Daisy to Ambassador. Don t forget to check out the Cookie Rookie video. This will help first time cookie sellers learn new skills and build confidence. 12

13 Thank you for attending this informational training. Troop Cookie Chairs or Leaders are required to view the 2017 Mandatory Cookie online training, before your troop is able to participate in the Cookie Program. This online training will be posted on our website after November 4. 13
