1 LEADERSHIP CIRCLE MENTORSHIP PROGRAM Mentor Information MISSION: The Executives Club of Chicago s Leadership Circle Group Mentorship Program is the premier leadership mentorship program for developing the future leaders of the Chicago business community, providing its emerging leaders exclusive access to the intellectual capital of seasoned senior executives within The Club. Each Mentorship group is comprised of two senior leaders per approximately ten mentees. Groups meet at least six times a year at established dates decided prior to the start of the annual program cycle. We strive to incorporate a heterogeneous mix of emerging leaders from various industries and experience levels in each of the mentorship groups MENTOR QUALIFICATIONS: To qualify, mentors must be employed with a minimum of 10 years managerial/senior leadership experience. Mentors should have an interest in helping future business leaders achieve their goals and objectives; the ability and desire to leverage his/her knowledge and expertise for the betterment of an emerging leader; and willingness to serve as a sounding board for their mentees. MENTOR RESPONSIBILITIES: In addition to facilitating and coaching their groups, mentors establish meeting dates and work with mentees to organize discussion topics. MENTORSHIP MEETING TIMES: The Club will provide a unified first meeting date, time, and location for all mentor groups. The agenda for the first meeting at the group launch will include: Introductions Ground rules and goal setting Topic identification Sign up lists for rotating meeting organization Date setting for the next 6 meetings for the year MENTORSHIP MEETING TOPICS: A list of suggested topics, created through mentee feedback provided in their applications will be shared with the mentors during the initial launch meeting. A prepared agenda for subsequent group discussions should be determined based upon interests of the group as well as advice from the mentors. Topics should be determined based on input during discussions at the launch meeting.
