2 COMPANY PROFILE AES is founded at 2001 with the goal of to become worldwide company in development and production of filter press and related products. AES has been successfully serving the many sectors in Turkey since its inception. Some of these sectors are; Mining, Chemical and Biological Plants, Electrolysis, Galvanizing, Sugar, Marble Production, Porcelain Production, Clay And Kaolin Production and Treatment systems. If the equipments is selected inappropriate and have inadequate quality level, it will affect the efficiency of the plants in a bad way and cause unnecessary electricity expenditures besides that these equipments may cause to block the operation of the plant. AES is a unique company that aware of the functions and the purposes of these equipments and know how to work treatment plants and prove that with a lot of work that has done which are successfully serving too many industries. In this context, AES is established in Kurtkoy, Istanbul in an area totally 1500 m² and 1000 m² closed area with experienced technical personnel and production and operating engineers. 4 Research and Development AES has allocated a significant budget for R & D activities since its establishment and has done serious works. In the field of sludge dewatering, until today our company founded more than hundred firms in these sectors: mining, chemistry, electrolysis, galvanized coatings, automotive, sugar, marble, porcelain, clay, kaolin, sewage system etc. In our company R&D studies have been done in one established laboratory with one test press, one 800x800 mm chamber type field test filter press and one 300x300mm size 15 plate membrane type field test filter press and also we can find economical solutions by studying with sludge samples in our laboratory.

6 APPLICATION & IMPORTANT REFERANCES Mining Sector Since its establishment AES has done lots of successful works and presented to Turkish Mining Sector in a short period of time. In addition to this, AES has also done a lot of R&D studies with unique field testing mechanisms that none of other companies have in Turkey. Especially the mining industry has lots of different types of sludge s to be dewatered, considering these difficulties; before founding a sludge dewatering system, AES gathers an accurate data with its test mechanisms for sizing of the right equipments. These studies provide very important information and advantages to companies in order to make a right investment. When higher solid concentrations are needed in applications for the mining sector, by doing small adjustments with filter presses, up to 40-45% percentage rates of solid concentration can be obtained. By the help of filter presses in the mining sector; the expensive dam system has been eliminated and also environmental pollution has been prevented. As a result of dewatering processes which are done with filter presses, energy savings are largely achieved.

17 Wastewater Treatment Sector Under pressure, treatment plant sludge accumulated at the bottom of the sedimentation unit was separated from water and pump into a filter pres in order to make a sludge cake. This sludge cake is being removed as waste and filter press filtrate water is returned to the balancing pond. Thanks to our years of experience and works, in sludge dewatering systems which are set by our company in refining industry, dryness is obtained in high yield. One of the main factors to achieve this efficiency is conditioning the sludge well to do it. For doing this, suitable chemical dosing systems are chosen for determining the appropriate amount to be calculated by using the correct dosage and calculations applied in the field, over 35% dry matter is obtained from filter presses. This dryness amounts may arise up to 42%. Compared with other sludge dewatering systems; prices are greatly decreased which companies pay for sludge dewatering, burning and shipping, and also contributed to the industry and national economy.

20 Food& Sugar Sectors In the sugar industry; our company manufactures various equipments for dewatering the sludge that arises during juice treatment, after carbonation and during the washing process of beets. Being close to residential area for sugar factories cause a lot of problems, for instance; disturbance to the environment because of the sludge that is held in the pools and the most important one is that large pool volumes which covered economically valuable areas. In addition to this; transporting the sludge with low dryness at the end of campaign periods gives rise to pay high transportation costs and causes environmental pollution. The sludge that arise from beet washing in sugar factories and during the transportation of beets with water, can be dewatered with equipments that we offered as an alternative to the current system and also with the method of removing the sludge from facility can mainly solved the problems that mentioned above.
