2 About us We have become the largest manufacturer of capillary tubes in the world today by developing equipment, establishing technologies, and optimising production processes. This is a position we are very proud of having achieved - and we intend to keep it. Today, Vitrex Medical a/s also develops and markets lancets and lancing devices, as well as pipettes and related products for a variety of segments within the health care sector. Our products meet all relevant international standards and we carry ISO 9001 and ISO 13485, the CE mark and we are FDA registered. Vitrex products are exported to more than 80 countries all over the world. Our customers include international organisations, government institutions, large national importers/distributors and large OEM customers. Each market has its unique culture, needs and demands. From the beginning of Vitrex Medical, the locomotive in the development of the company has been the production facilities in Denmark. And in accordance with our philosophy these facilities, as well as R&D, will remain in Denmark, supplemented by a worldwide network of selected production partners and sub-suppliers. In addition to the comprehensive, standardised range of products, we have developed a large variety of specialised products, i.e. high precision volumetric pipettes, pulling pipettes for a.o. genemanipulation, and a variety of other highly specialised glass tubes. The vast varieties of experience gathered from more than 45 years of developing products within our field makes us an attractive and versatile partner in development and business. Vitrex has been in the market of capillary tubes for almost 50 years and is globally providing all types of capillary tubes in plastic or glass - with the heparin or anti coagulance of your choice. We can supply the tubes graduated with calibration marks, whereas extra treating such as mylar coating or filters are available upon request. 3 4 Vitrex Micro haematocrit tubes VITREX micro-haematocrit tubes are quality products that conform to international standard ISO The tubes are supplied fire polished at the colour-coded end which we recommend should be sealed with VITREX Sigillum Wax. Fire polishing reduces wear on the centrifuge seals. Supplied with colour-coding on the packaging and on the tubes in plain (blue colour), or with uniform sodium heparinisation (red colour), ammonium heparinisation (green colour) or lithium heparinisation (orange colour). Each heparinised tube contains at least 4 IU heparin as prescribed by the standard. Packaging The tubes are available in two types of packaging: Dispenser vials of tubes each for hy gienic and easy handling; and economy cardboard boxes, ( tubes) which reduce transport and hand ling costs. Special requirements regarding marking, dimen sions or impregnation can be met. The Sigillum Wax plate has 2x24 numbered positions per pair which makes it easy to seal and transport samples. Each pair can be forced apart and used separately. The even wax layer ensures uniform sealing. 5 8 Vitrex Precalibrated Pipettes VITREX pre-calibrated pipettes are for users who require very accurate capillary tube volume. The pipettes are manufactured to ISO Packaging ckaging Cardboard vials of 250 except -200 μl which is packed in vials of 125. The tubes are in a standard length of 125 mm and each tube is provided with a colour code for the volume from its base up to the ringmark. 6 10 Vitrex Blood gas capillary Tubes Vitrex disposable capillary tubes for blood gas analyses are made from heavy walled glass, suitable for 2.3 mm Ø adaptors. Uniform heparinisation, careful fire polishing, heavy walled tubes and robust end-caps secure proper function and reduce operating risk. The strict demands on function and quality for the VITREX products are your guarantee. Packaging Choose your Vitrex blood-gas-capillary tubes according to diagram shown below. Just indicate article number and type. The types have been manufactured under strict control and are in accordance with current standards available in 3 lengths: 75 mm, mm and 125 mm.
