Business Description Minnesota International General Trading & Contracting Company, commonly known as MIT World Wide LLC, is a Supply Chain Specialist Company. Mr. Alexander John, CEO/Owner with his experience in the industry spearheads this Company for almost two decades, supported by their premium client the US Army whether it is interior Iraq or Afghanistan or their Central Stores in Kuwait. Mr. Alexander John has numerous awards as the Best Suppliers for US Army. He has established a well dedicated and wellexperienced team with ample knowledge of sourcing the best products at best prices within short period is the driving force for the foundation of MIT Worldwide. 3 Mr. Alexander has established companies in USA, Dubai, Kuwait, Afghanistan, & China. The year 2008 saw a major restructuring of MIT when it decided to do away with its financial partners and rebuild MIT Worldwide with an identity of its own for its employees who are the stakeholders. In , the turnover doubled in 2007 and then in 2008 started restructuring to diversify and expand the business. MIT encompasses a wealth of knowledge built on a foundation of experience gathered from over 15 years in the global procurement and logistics market. The experience gathered from operating within Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar and the US reflects the wide operational knowledge base that MIT draws on and can ultimately offer to their clients. Project Details MIT World Wide is in unique position to capture at least 20 Million US$ in the year 2009 from projects and future business prospects in Afghanistan. In order to capture part of this market, by establishing a wholesale warehouse in Afghanistan supported by various stores in strategic markets around the globe. MIT World Wide LLC will stock items that our customers need after establishing a blank purchase agreement with our customers. This strategy has been welcome by our customers (FLUOR, Dyn-Corp, KBR, various construction companies) to solve the issues of transporting items through Pakistan and running the risk of losing their cargo. The initial investment into this project, $2.5 million in order to stock items in country for several customers, land lease, warehouse construction/renovation (Afghanistan and Tajikistan). The Company is currently working on a project whose value is 4.2 Million US$ in Afghanistan. This project is to procure and deliver furniture items for the influx of US Soldiers headed into the region. This project MIT World Wide will take place over a period of 12 months in which would allow MIT World Wide to establish a location on the US/NATO base in Khandhar. In establishing this material warehouse, MIT World Wide has signed the agreement to be the Value Added Reseller for Grainger Industrial Supply Company to become their value added reseller for Afghanistan. 4 The strategy MIT World Wide is pursing to establish a warehouse to stock supplies for our customers has brought additional opportunities. MIT World Wide plans to establish a state of the art warehousing system in Afghanistan to support of customers will put MIT World Wide at the forefront of the market. In addition to the growth in the Defense Industry, MIT World Wide has registered with KOC, KNPC and KJO to supply them with various materials and items. MIT World Wide LLC has just become exclusive agents for Cangzhou Canghai Pipe Fittings Manufacture Co. Ltd. The addition of this agency to MIT World Wide LLC allows MIT World Wide to support the commercial market in Kuwait. MIT World Wide LLC is value added reseller for Grainger Industrial Supply Company in which in caters to the Oil & Gas Industry. MIT World Wide LLC has just signed an exclusive distributor agreement with Peak Telecom for the distribution and service of VOIP phones for Afghanistan market. MIT World Wide LLC upon signing this agreement will setup operations in Afghanistan to offer this product to the local market. Due to the lack of proper communication in Afghanistan and the high rates MIT World Wide is projecting this project to be a success. 8 The Market MIT World Wide LLC is currently a small player in the international market for providing services/products for the Defense Industry. We are competing in the Afghanistan market which estimates to generate over 50 Billion Dollars in the next five years due to US spending in the region. In order to capture substantial part of this market MIT World Wide has develop a strategy to stock quality material according to our costumers request in Afghanistan. Due to the problems and issues of getting supplies in country, MIT World Wide has seen this key to success. The feedback from our customers (DynCorp International, FLUOR International, Kellogg Brown & Root, US Army Khandhar Contracting Office, and US Army Kabul Contracting Office has been that this is the preferred strategy to meet there needs to solve logistics solutions. To target this market MIT World Wide has signed a contract to be the value added reseller from Afghanistan which gives our company access to over 70,000 different items. Competition The current competition to MIT World Wide is the local supplies in Afghanistan that sells lower quality products at a cheaper price. Our direct competitors are TWI Company, Prime Projects International, AP International, American General Trading & and Contracting Company. The competitive advantage these companies currently have on is that size and access to funding. By stocking items in country and sourcing items from the USA and China MIT World Wide can reduce their market share by providing items that are available in country without the long delay in shipping. Operations In order to provide products to our customers in accordance with their requirements MIT World Wide LLC has put key elements in its operations. First we have developed key locations to source different products from the global market which gives MIT World Wide LLC and competitive edge over most of our competitors. Second we have established key locations around the world in order to receive supplies for inspection and verification according to the customer requirements. In order to handle the additional business that MIT World Wide LLC is projecting we have leased a warehouse in Afghanistan in which items will be received, inspected and stored before sending to the customer. Do to the problems with transporting items by road through Afghanistan; MIT World Wide will need to open a warehouse. In the global operation for MIT World Wide LLC, stores will be located in Kuwait that we will be responsible for stocking items for the Oil & Gas and Petroleum Industry, stores in Tajikistan will serve as a main warehouse for receiving goods headed to Afghanistan, stores in Afghanistan to received goods that will be stocked in country to support blank purchase agreements for contracts with FLUOR and DynCorp.
