17 ANORAMA INDOW SYSTEM Delivered With Care "A Process" Chefs often say that you must crack a few eggs to make an omelet. Well, let me tell you, that attitude doesn t work in the window business. Glass can break, just like well, glass. Some people might think that the delivery process is simple. A just load-up the truck and get em delivered thing. At Vista, we believe it is a process. The Vista delivery process starts at the window cleaning station. First we clean the glass, the window frames and screen. Before we wrap the window, we go over it very thoroughly. We actually use razor blades (on the glass), buff pads (cleaning pads) on the vinyl and a few different highly specific cleaning agents to make sure your windows are perfect. Raeann Cleans with Care After this, the window is sent to the wrapping station. Here, it is protected with the same cardboard that is used to protect eggs in egg cartons! This egg-crate material is placed on each corner of the window for superior protection. Then, we shrink-wrap the entire window to protect it from the dreaded three D s: dust, dirt and damage. The shrink-wrap also holds the load together tightly on the truck when we ship. Our truck routes are built within our computer software program, and each window has a bar code, which is scanned to ensure it is put onto the correct truck and route. You see, even the very best, perfectly made product (like ours) can be destroyed, literally by a bad trip on a truck. No one can afford that type of careless waste. The truck is loaded and packed tightly using an E-track restraint system and straps, which ensure minimal movement and damage during the over-the-road run. 18 THERMAL PERFORMANCE HIGH PERFORMANCE GLASS 17 All windows with insulating glass claim to save you money on energy costs. However, not all insulating glass windows are created equal. Vista windows with High Performance glass can save you significant money on energy costs, but even as important is the fact that their warm-edge or tru-warm * design helps to make your home more comfortable. Choosing the right glass for your window means choosing the right insulating glass (I.G.) unit. An I.G. unit contains two or three panes of glass and a spacer system that holds the panes together. This creates either one or two insulating airspaces. Similar to the engine in a car, the I.G. unit determines much of a window s performance. Low-E Glass - These are a series of coated glass products with a transparent, barely visible, high-performance, metallic coating. In the winter, Low-E glass transmits the sun s visible light and direct solar short wave energy into the home. It also reflects the heat generated by your heating system back into your home. This dynamic effect keeps your home warmer in the winter. In the summer, Low-E reduces relative heat gain so it also keeps your home cooler.
