1 Living in Divine Health I want to exhort you with these verses to help you walk and live in divine health, so you can live a long and healthy, productive life and minister divine healing to others. Isaiah 53:4,5: Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. Matthew 8:17: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses. Luke 13:16: And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day? Acts 10:38: How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. 1 Corinthians 5:5: To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. 1 Corinthians 6:19, 20: What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God s. 1 Corinthians 15:26: The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

2 2 Corinthians 12:7: Now I pray to God that ye do no evil; not that we should appear approved, but that ye should do that which is honest, though we be as reprobates. 2 Corinthians 13:5: Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? Galatians 3:13,14: Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Hebrews 2:14: Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; 1 Peter 2:24: Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. 1 John 3:8: He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. All of the verses I am sharing with you today are scriptures that have been a great help in my life as a believer. Their greatest importance was firstly to inform me of who the author of sickness, disease, and death is. Up until I got these verses, I had little or no knowledge of divine healing, nor did I know that it was God s will that I be healthy, and not sick. As long as a person believes that God wants them to be sick, for whatever the reason may be, they will not be able to walk in divine health or receive divine healing when they need it. In the New Testament, we begin to see the will of the Father God in its fullness in the life and ministry of Jesus Christ. Jesus never turned anyone away for divine healing, nor did He

3 ever tell anyone that it wasn t God s will for them to be healed. Jesus said he that hath seen me hath seen the Father (John 14:9). And John 14:10 continues, Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. Once we begin to renew our minds to God s Word (which usually takes some time and a lot of maintenance through meditating on, studying and speaking the Word of God), we can begin to receive our inheritance and claim our blessings. John 10:10: The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. 3 John 2: Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. James 1:17: Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. Once we begin to see that it is Satan who comes to steal, kill, and destroy, and that divine healing comes from God, the biggest part of the battle is already won. All we have to do is stand fast in faith, based on our confession of the Word and claim our inheritance. When I discovered Luke 13:16, Acts 10:38, and 1 Corinthians 5:5, all indicating that Satan is the author of sickness and disease, and that God is the Healer, it totally changed my Christian life! I began to realize that all the sickness I had suffered had come from Satan, and not God. Satan takes advantage of our ignorance of the Word of God. For God said in Hosea 4:6, My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge... A lack of knowledge of God s Word causes us to be in a position to become prey and vulnerable to the attacks of the enemy. Trying to live your Christian life without the Word of God is the most dangerous stunt a believer can pull. For example, in the natural, it would be like a swimmer trying to survive in a shark infested area. That swimmer would have no

4 protection against the jaws of the sharks. In the same way, a believer does not have any kind of protection from Satan and his evil forces when he/she allows him/herself to be lackadaisical about God s Word. We need the Word of God in our lives, because the Word is the armor to protect us in this life against Satan and his evil tidings. This is what God said in Ephesians 6:10-18: Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; It s very important that every day of your life, you read your healing scriptures. In the natural, when a person s physical immune system becomes weak, they become more susceptible to sickness. So it is spiritually speaking, when a believer becomes spiritually weak, they are less likely to be able to resist sickness and disease. In order for us to live in divine health, we must always keep ourselves built up spiritually. Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Ephesians 6:10 We must always walk in the God-kind of love. For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love. Galatians 5: 6 We must always put God s Word first. My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Proverbs 4 : 20

5 We must never let God s Word depart from our mouth--- in this instance, you would always want to quote healing scriptures. This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Joshua 1:8 Mark healing scriptures in your Bible and read them daily. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. Proverbs 4:21 Find healing scriptures on your own through studying the Word. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. Proverbs 4:22 Keep your heart pure and tender before the Lord. Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. Proverbs 4:23 Don t talk the curse, sickness, or disease. Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee. Proverbs 4:24 Proverbs 18:20,21: A man s belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled. Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. Don t murmur or complain. Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer. 1 Corinthians 10:10 Don t let a day go by with sin, strife, or unforgiveness in your life. And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses. Mark 11: 25, 26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil. Ephesians 4: 26, 27 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. James 3: 16

6 Always examine the motives and intent of your heart. And, when you find any ulterior motives that are against the will of God or His Word, be quick to judge yourself. For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. 1 Corinthians 11: 30, 31 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1: 9 Don t judge others who have sinned. Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother s eye. Matthew 7: 1-5 Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. Bear ye one another s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself. Galatians 6: 1-3 I m honored to be able to teach you God s Word, for I know what it will do for you as you put it into action. So let s keep going on for God and reaching the world with the Word of faith. I look forward to sharing with you tomorrow.
