My planning experience encompasses metropolitan, regional and rural areas, in private sector and Local and State Government environments. I am presently contracted to Hays/Parramatta City Council as the Major DA Project Manager. Over the past 18 months I have project managed the assessment and review of: Aspire Tower 90 storey mixed retail, hotel and apartment building in Parramatta Square; 16 storey commercial building in Parramatta Square; 30 storey mixed use building with 700 space public parking podium in the Parramatta City Centre. I also concurrently operate my own planning consultancy. My local government experience includes 32 weeks as Acting Manager Development at Parramatta (current, in addition to the Project Manager position), a Director level position at a rural Council in charge of staff and budget for 10 operational areas, a role as an assessment Team Leader in the Blacktown Council urban release areas, a role as the Strategic Planner for a regional Council preparing growth and city centre strategies, and a role as area planner in the heritage suburbs of Paddington and Woollahra. My private sector consulting experience includes six years in my own sole trading business completing an extensive and challenging range of land use change and development projects for the private and public sector, and a two year role as Principal Planner for GHD (Wagga office). My State Government experience includes a role as the Landscape Planning Manager for the Murrumbidgee Catchment at NSW DLWC. I have valuable experience in the NSW Land and Environment Court as an expert witness, representing the public and private sector.
