1 SAGEBRUSH SOCCER CLUB TRY OUTS & OPEN TRAINING SESSIONS Sagebrush Soccer Club Teams are holding their spring 2012 COMPETITIVE soccer try-outs for teams U15 and above and Open Training Sessions for teams U10 through U14. Sagebrush Soccer Club offers scholarship opportunities for its members, from competitive teams to college scholarships. All of these opportunities are funded by our two local tournaments. Sagebrush and its volunteers brought training from an Internationally licensed coach previously and plans to bring more collegiate coaches and other upper level licensed coaches in to assist with keeper trainings this spring. We have very knowledgeable coaches and a mentoring style support system for new coaches. We re here to help you make your team a success! Each team holding try outs or Open Training Sessions is listed below with their own dates, times and locations. Sagebrush Soccer Club is STILL the most successful Northern Nevada Club that boasts many of the year s Northern Nevada s No. 1 teams, as well as one team that was #1 in the NATION last year! 2 U11 BOYS SBSC RENO STRIKERS We are looking for a few players to round out our team. We are looking for dedicated and dynamic players to join our team. The team is coached by Alberto Castiblanco and Jeremy Steamley. Our team s goal is to develop the skills, abilities and love for the game of our players. Please bring soccer cleats, shin-guards, appropriate clothing for soccer practice and cold/rainy weather, a #4 ball and plenty of water. Our Open Training Session will be held ONE DAY ONLY, Thursday November 17 th from 6:00pm to 7:30pm at Golden Eagle Park in Sparks U11 BOYS SBSC UNITED BLACK We are looking for a few players to round out our team. We are comprised of players from around the Reno/Sparks area and are looking for a few dedicated players to take this team to the next level. We plan to compete in the local tournaments. Fall 2011 has been a season of a lot of growth and looking forward to another great season next spring. Coach of this team will be Garrett Moss. Garrett holds a National C license and has multiple years experience as a Youth and High school coach Our Open Training Session will be held ONE DAY ONLY, Thursday November 17 th from 5:00pm to 6:30pm at Golden Eagle Park in Sparks U12 BOYS SBSC UNITED BLACK We are looking for a few players to round out our team. 3 U14 BOYS SBSC AMBUSH U14B SBSC Ambush will be holding ONE competitive Open Training Session on: Thursday, November 17 th Golden Eagle Regional Park (call Coach Kyle for more The team has been established for 3 years and is looking for a few key players. Expect highly positive coaching with focused demands and expectations to improve each player's soccer ability. U16 BOYS SBSC RENEGADES The Renegades were the first place finishers in GBYSL for the season. Moving up to the U15/16 bracket allows us to have U16 members. Our Try out for the team will be Sunday, November 20th at 1:00 PM 3:00PM at Golden Eagle Park. The team is coached by Mitchell DeValliere and Irvin Mirabal Santiago. 4 **NEW U10 GIRLS SAGEBRUSH WOLVES** U10 Girls Sagebrush Wolves: Coached by Joe Dowling & Cris Baca. We are looking for dedicated players to join our team. We provide a fun & positive environment while helping to bring our players to their highest level of play and competition. We believe if you re not having fun in a competitive environment we re not doing our job! If you can t make our Open Training Sessions, please call me and we ll work something out. **NEW U10 GIRLS TEAM** Sparks Freedom is a new U10 Girls, competitive team forming under the Sagebrush Soccer Club. Spark Freedom will be Coached/Trained by Mike Dyer a D State Licensed Coach who has been coaching girl s soccer for over 15 years. Mike has two female assistant Coach/Trainers, both of which are long time competitive players that have coaching experience as well as providing on field and goalie expertise. Our team s goal is to develop the skills and abilities of our players, within a fun learning environment. As a team within the Sagebrush Soccer Club we plan to do indoor training during the winter then will be participating in the competitive spring & fall seasons, as well as competitive Tournament play. 6 U13 GIRLS SBSC GUNNERS The Gunners have an Open Training Session on Thursday 11/17 at Golden Eagle. OPEN POSITIONS: Goal Keeper The Gunners are a traveling competitive team focusing on player development, dedication and hard work. The direction the team is heading is one where competition is not strictly saved for games; players compete every day at training to push each other to get better. The Gunners head coach, Terran Newell, requires full commitment from each player and parent at the beginning of each season to provide a team environment that is cohesive and working towards a common goal. U14G SBSC TEAM LADY RATTLERS The SBSC Reno Rattlers U-14 girls team continues to build on success and will need to fill 1-2 roster positions. We need strong committed players in all positions. The Rattlers will be holding their Open Training Session on November 17 at Mira Loma from 5:00p to 6:30p on field #1. For girls born between 8/1/97-7/31/98. Please bring soccer cleats, shin guards, a size 5 ball, and water. The Rattlers continue to build a team based on player development, teamwork, respect, and a highly competitive spirit. All players have an equal opportunity to earn positions and playing time. 8 U16/U17/U18 SAGEBRUSH NITRO Sagebrush Nitro is a competitive Girls soccer team that is looking for players for the spring 2012 season. Sagebrush Nitro is a proud member of the Sagebrush Soccer Club and participates in the Great Basin Youth Soccer League. We need dedicated soccer players that live and breathe soccer, and have competitive playing experience. We are looking for all positions especially a goalkeeper. We will attend 3-4 tournaments in the spring and one in the summer along with GBYSL league play, the major tournament will be the Rogue Valley Cup in Medford, OR. Travel to other out of state tournaments is possible, but these tournaments will be in California. We are looking for girls whose birthdates fall between to This team will be either u16 or u18 depending on the number and ages of players trying out. Nevada Nitro is coached by Shannon Owens, D license coach and current High School coach, Josh Owens E license, and trainer YaYa Darboe. We will be traveling to several competitive tournaments and once again competing in US Soccer State Cup. Our season will begin in December With an emphasis on hard work and wining. 9 U17 GIRLS SBSC LADY NOMADS The Lady Nomads is a competitive U17 girls team that is coached by Marco Merlo, a National C licensed coach, and will begin indoor training for the spring 2012 season following Thanksgiving weekend. We will be holding tryouts on November 17 from 4:00-6:00 PM and November 20 from 4:30-6:00 PM at Golden Eagle Regional Park and will be looking to add a small number of dedicated players for the upcoming season. This will be a traveling team that is anticipating playing in 4-6 tournaments/college showcases (including NV State Cup) this next season as well as the GBYSL league locally.
