1 Children (Pre-K 6 th Grade) Make a treat or card and have a parent help you deliver it to a neighbor. $ Bring flowers to your teacher. Read a book to a younger child or sibling. Send your principal a note telling them how great your teacher is. Make a thank you card or sign for the sanitation workers who pick up your trash. Ask if there is a chore you can help do around the house. Call your grandparents or someone in your family and tell them you just called to see how they were doing. Make a thank you card for your mail carrier and leave it for them in your mailbox. Give toys or clothes you have outgrown to someone who could use Clean up your room without being told to do so. Slip a note or picture in your parents pocket, purse, or car telling them how much you love and appreciate Write a note or make a card telling your school security officer how thankful you are that they keep you safe. $ Bring a treat or card to your Sunday School or KidzJAM leader or church staff member. Choose to talk to or play with a classmate who you usually don t hang out with. $ Bring a treat or card to your local Fire Station or Police Station thanking them for their service. $ Bring a treat or card to your coach, club sponsor, gym teacher, music teacher or any other extra-curricular activity leader. Write, draw, or tell your parents five things you love and appreciate about Hold the door open for those behind you and let others go ahead of you in line. $ Donate crayons and a coloring book to the children s area at your local hospital. Write a thank you note for your school or church librarian.

2 Students (7 th 12 th Grade) Write an encouraging note to someone who needs it this week. Plan time to spend a face to face conversation with someone this week. Send encouraging texts to three different people. Take someone s trash or tray at lunch time. Write a thank you note to one of your teachers recognizing all they do. Clean up your room, bathroom, or other area of the house as a surprise treat. Find an elderly person (grandparents or friends grandparents) and offer to rake their yard, sweep the driveway, clean out the gutters, etc. Volunteer to clean up the XA House on Wednesday night after Pursuit or Ekklesia. Write Dr. David Brooks a note thanking him for leading our church or sharing how a sermon has touched your life. $ When you go to a drive-thru, pay for the person s meal behind you. Write a note or tell your school security officer how much you appreciate him or her keeping you and your school safe. Open the door for those behind you, let someone go ahead of you in line, and be sure to thank service workers. Stop a janitor or maintenance worker at school or church and thank them for his or her hard work. Write a note to your mom or dad and tell them five things you appreciate that they do for you. Hide an encouraging note in your sibling s or parent s pocket, purse, backpack, or car. Clean the dishes or dishwasher without being told. Say thank you to your teacher at the end of each class at school or church. College Write a note or letter to someone who made a difference in your life that you haven t seen in a while.

Leave a thank you card for someone who works on campus. (Janitor, Financial Aid, Dean) Write a note to your mom or dad and tell them five things you appreciate that they do for you. 4 Adults Write a letter to your child s Sunday School or KidzJAM teacher (or your own) thanking them for all they do. Write a note to someone who has had a positive influence in your life. $ Leave a pack of cold sodas or other treat for your sanitation workers. Slip an encouraging note in your spouse, child, or co-worker s pocket, purse, or workspace. $ Make or pick-up a treat for the office workers at a school, business, doctor s office, etc. Perform an act of service for your neighbor pick up their trash cans, sweep their driveway, bring their paper to their door, etc. $ Bring coffee to a friend at work. $ Pay for the person behind you in the drive-thru at a fast food restaurant. Pay a compliment to every service worker you encounter today. Let someone go ahead of you in line or check-out in front of you in the grocery line. Offer to watch a friend or family member s children while they run errands or enjoy a night out. $ Tape a package of microwave popcorn to the Redbox machine with a note saying, Enjoy with your movie! Offer to make someone in your family a drink or snack and bring it to Plan time to spend a face to face conversation with someone this week. Send encouraging texts or s to three different people. $ Bring a gift card to any service worker and tell them how much you appreciate their service. $ Bring a treat or write a card of appreciation to your local fire department.

5 Senior Adults Write a letter to your Life Group teacher and leader thanking them for all they do. Write a letter of encouragement to someone on the church staff. Find a senior adult in the church that you do not know and introduce yourself to him or her. Write a note to your doctor or dentist and staff thanking them for their care for you. $ Pay for the person behind you at the drive-thru of a fast food restaurant. Pay a compliment to every service worker you encounter today. Let someone check out in front of you at the grocery store or go ahead of you in any line you may be standing in. Send a note of encouragement to your adult child or another family member. $ Leave a note or treat in your mailbox for your postal worker. Call a friend or neighbor just to ask them how they are doing. $ Buy a $5 - $10 gift card to a coffee shop or fast food restaurant and give it to a complete stranger just because. $ Buy or make a treat or write a card and deliver it to your local fire department. $ Buy or make a treat for the office staff at your work, former work, local school, or doctor s office. Get a church prayer list and four We Care cards and send encouragement to someone on the list. Send a note to a local government official letting them know that you appreciate their service and that you said a prayer for him or her. Go and visit someone in the Nursing Home. $ Leave a pack of cold sodas or other treat for your sanitation workers or yard workers. Clean out clothes or items you no longer use and donate them to a homeless shelter or needy family.
